Mountain Paradise inuti farfar Golf and Country Club Resort

Vårt hem är beläget inuti Grandfather Golf and Country Club resort. Vårt hemliga varma interiör ger ett avslappnat men exklusivt utrymme att koppla av. När du kommer in hittar du stora änkor och skjutbara glasdörrar som ger en 180 graders nordvästlig utsikt med vackra kvällssolnedgångar. Koppla av på däck med en älskad och en dryck efter ditt val och se solen försvinna bakom bergen. Sittande högt från marken, har hemmet en öppen, men ändå mycket privat känsla.

På bottenvåningen finns en privat master-svit med en king size-säng, cederträväggar och ett badrum. Ett andra sovrum med en king size-säng och eget badrum med dubbla fåfängar. Ett öppet fullt lastat kök. En elegant matsal med utsikt över bergen, skogen. Ett rymligt vardagsrum med stora lädersoffor runt en enorm två våningar sten spis med en 55 ”HD-TV över manteln.

Vänster om eldstaden finns en vacker järnspiraltrappa som går ut på övervåningen sovrum och en balkong. Balkongen har en pittoresk, bekväm lässtol, kontor och TV. Vi erbjuder trådlöst höghastighetsinternet på kontoret och en router för trådlös anslutning vart som helst i huset. De två sovrummen, vardera med två enkelsängar, delar ett stort, komplett badrum med dubbla tvättställ.

Som en privat och exklusiv utväg ändrade Grandfather Golf and Country Club sina regler för 2017. VRBO-hyresgäster kan inte längre få gästprivilegier att använda klubbens bekvämligheter.

Under vintersäsongen är vår bergsresa perfekt belägen för att njuta av det bästa av North Carolina skidbackar. Vi är en tio minuters bilresa till Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, tjugo minuter från Beech Mountain Ski Resort och tjugo minuter från snöslangar och zip line på Hawksnest Resort. Det finns många ställen att åka längdskidor eller bara ta en lugn promenad i närheten.

McRea Meadows, hem för de berömda Highland-spelen, ligger bara några mil bort. Om du känner dig äventyrlig kan du vandra på Profilstigen och klättra på de majestätiska topparna på farfar Mountain. Naturligtvis är det mycket lättare att köra till Mile High Swinging Bridge på toppen av Grandfather Mountain som har många av samma vyer. Om du är en backpacker eller bara vill vandra en dag passerar Appalachian Trail cirka tio mil bort.

Om du har barn, kommer du att besöka Mystery Hill, Gem Mine eller den populära Tweetsie Railroad för minnesvärd familjens kul. Njut av god mat från en mängd olika restauranger i närheten. Glöm inte att stanna i Mast General Store på vägen hem för att tillfredsställa en söt tandtrang. Det finns för många fantastiska platser i närheten av listan!

Spacious, Stunning Home with Incredible Views

The property was exactly as advertised, with plenty of space for our group of 8 and an amazing layout that felt both cozy and functional. The neighborhood was absolutely breathtaking, and the views gave a sense of complete seclusion and tranquility. The owner was incredibly attentive throughout our stay and made everything seamless. If we return to Sugar Mountain, we will definitely stay here again!

The furnishings are tired especially in the living room and should be replaced. Doors are beat up, and we were unaware the upstairs was accessed by a tight spiral staircase. The gutters have plants growing out if them which gives the property an unkept appearance. Overall the property desperately needs some tlc and I probably won’t rent it again.

Warm & Cozy

We stayed at this home to attend Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. The furniture is very comfortable - probably the most comfortable bed I've slept in at a vacation rental. We used the refrigerator, ovens and coffee maker and everything worked great. There was a trail from the back door that leads to MacRae Meadows, but it was difficult to follow and appeared to not be well travelled. It was also quite strenuous, but very cool to be able to walk to Grandfather Mountain and not have to deal with parking. There was some confusion at check in with the security guard, and issuing access passes for the gated community, but the owner was very responsive and helpful in getting that straightened out quickly. We had a few other questions, about the coffee maker and the trail, and the owner was always very kind and helpful.

Very nice home

We all had a great time in this house. It was very comfortable for our group of 7 adults and the mountain setting was spectacular. The entrance to Grandfather Mountain is nearby, but if you're there for leaf peeping or the highland games, be prepared for traffic. Communication with the homeowners was very good.

Amazing experience

Georgia is very sweet and organized we arrived at the house and everything was perfect. The house has a great energy and is within a very nice gated community. Close to sugar mountain ski slopes it is very convenient and also closer to Charlotte International aIrport compared to other houses we’ve seen. Our kids loved the cottage and had a great time. 10 out of 10

First mountain last minute getaway

Great location in regard to sightseeing/shopping/dining opportunities. Beautiful views. The house felt spacious. The kitchen & pantry was wonderfully equipped with the basic cooking tools, utensils and condiments/spices needed to prepare/serve meals. Great host communication availability. Although furnishings were dated (was having nostalgic moments of growing up in the 70's) all countertops surfaces were clean and things were in working order. Overall a good stay. However, the only thing I wish I would have known prior to booking was that most of the main living areas are dated carpet in a home that hosts pets. Would not recommend for anyone asthmatic or suffers with allergies (which was half of my group).

Most Memorable Thanksgiving

Spent such a wonderful Thanksgiving here with our family and felt right at home in the best way! Could not have been more comfortable or felt more cared for - the home is just that, a home, so it’s well-stocked (everything from fuzzy blankets and firewood to gourmet seasonings) and easy to love. Georgia was the most gracious and welcoming host, plus the Grandfather club grounds were stunning. We will absolutely be back!

Nice but older property

We enjoyed our stay. If you need the most up to date appliances and fancy accommodations you won't be happy. But we were quite comfortable. We did lose power one night (whole community did) for a couple hours during the rain and were without water (well pump) and lights but that is not unusual for a mountain area. We had hoped we could walk up the hillside to the Highland Games at Grandfather Mountain. The guys did manage to make it up the day before the games but it involved heavy bush-wacking and avoiding poison ivy. There is no trail that goes all the way up that we could find and there were some areas that could have resulted in serious injury if we'd fallen. I wouldn't recommend the hike, especially not at night. We ended up taking the shuttle bus for the games. The place did smell musty when we arrived as someone else mentioned, but once we opened the windows and aired it out, it was fine. Probably needs a dehumidifier in the house and I would recommend the owner replace the carpeting with wood or other hard surface flooring to help get rid of the damp musty smell.

Perfect House

What a great home! The house was very inviting and provided a warm, spacious, and relaxed environment for my family. Love the large comfortable couches and great fireplace. Very convenient to skiing, grocery stores and restaurants. Nice quiet private neighborhood. The owners are very gracious and a pleasure to rent from. I will definitely choose this rental for our next family mountain vacation!

Nice Christmas Vacation

This is such a great place to stay!!! It was so close to everything, this house is so close to Sugar Mountain and so we got to go ski resort! it was a beautiful and most enjoyable stay!! the house was clean and had everything we could have needed even the kitchen is little outdated! we really enjoyed every part of our stay! thank you for the amazing experience!!
