The 18th century little palace is built on the site of the former kitchens of the Royal Palace. The main door open out onto the noble patio where the blue of the peacocks from the Castle predominates. Dear Jenny,Thank you for staying with us and for your feedback.We are very happy that you enjoyed our friendly staff and the magical atmosphere of our 18th century little palace, inside the St Jorge castle walls atop Alfama.The streets of the castle village are very narrow and locals keep on having their flower pots and little birds cages literally on the street. Of course this is part of the enchantment of this place but it does not facilitate the access of large cars. Traffic to our place is restricted to locals, taxis and some Ubers with a special licence. Lisbon is a hilly city but there are several public transports (like the trams, buses, elevators) to reach the top of the hills, like Alfama.
