Dear Stephanie,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Upon reading your review I feel that for some reason you did not experience everything the property has to offer as the property has far more features than you described. I am disappointed to learn that for some reason you did not have an exceptional stay that has our guests return time after time each year. The Stone House Inn consists of two buildings, the main house and what we refer to as the barn even though that look is from the outside only. The rooms in the barn are our most requested rooms because of its oversized guest rooms, modern decor and the feature of giant soaking tubs in select rooms. However, some may prefer the more historic feel of the main house next to it. Had we known this was the case for you, we certainly would have done all we could to make that transition.Similar to most small inns and bed and breakfast type properties and also our historical nature, we do not have an elevator on property. That being said, our staff is trained to happily assist if anyone needs help bringing items to their room. Regarding the amenity fee, water and coffee are a standard amenity. The fee covers continental breakfast, afternoon light bites, bicycles (both mens and womens), lawn games, books, games and s'mores at our fire pit in the evenings. We also provide beach towels and chairs that can be used at Tappens Beach, just on the other side of Round Pond that neighbors the property. It is a 10 minute stroll, but some choose to take our bikes there.We take great pride at the Stone House chatting and getting to know our guests so that we can make their stay not just meet but exceed expectations. It is part of why our rooms are at a premium with return travelers. Because your concerns are just coming to light now, I am sad that we did not have that opportunity with you. Should you choose to give us another try now that you have some more information, we will be here waiting to welcome you.

It sure was an abnormally hot week here. As noted, geothermal cooling is a complex system so we have additional window a/c units in the rooms to help control the temperatures.
