The room was a nice size and the bed was comfortable apart from the pillows they was a bit too hard other then that the stay was really good the staff at the bar was very helpful when ordering drinks they even made us one that wasn’t on the menu

would recommend!
Our room was clean and well presented. The bed was comfortable, the shower was powerful. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

I suppose one asks to ask the question of what you expect for £65 for the night, the room itself was decorated nicely, unfortunately though, because they have used the cheapest material and furnishings possible it just looks like a bit used, the curtains are half hanging off due to clips on runner being broke, the cheap IKEA wardrobe had a split front, the matching table had a bent leg, the carpets were dirty and smelly, there were gaps where they couldn't be bothered to tile in the bathroom.... Apart from a Peaky Blinder photo on canvas, certainly not the sophisticated 1920's hotel as described, but again, for £65, what do you expect, I just see a missed opportunity to do something really nice!

Pleasant, clean, comfortable and everything you would expect. Note, no catering - these are rooms, rather than a hotel or B&B.

Friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble.
Thank you for a wonderful experience. Upon arrival the staff were very accommodating and made me and my daughter feel comfortable. Inside the room was beautifully laid out and me and we were happy to stay here. I was surprised at the music later at Night, which was not unbearable. All in all we were satisfied.

Good central location for going out locally
Rooms were clean and modern, not particularly noisy. All the basics were covered, tea, hair-dryer, iron, shower stuff including conditioner. Mattress was slightly softer than my preference (only semi-orthopaedic).

Good location in southport
Good location, parking available. Room was clean had hairdryer iron and was tastefully decorated. The bed was uncomfortable and unfortunately was quite noisy outside through the night. The noise was nothing to do with the bar was just unfortunate .

Acceptable hotel for a 1 night stay.
Needing a place in Southport, I came across this hotel - and for 1 night, it was fine. The accommodation is above the bar - you have to go into the bar to get keys, then go back outside the door which takes you above the bar to a series of rooms. All of which was clean, tidy and very freshly painted. The room itself was perfectly comfortable and quite large, with a decent size and clean bathroom. It was however frightfully cold which was a shame. No breakfast options were available at the bar, so you have to go elsewhere for food in the morning, which was also a let down.

We stayed here for my wife's birthday. We checked in and were greeted by freindly helpfull staff the bar area is great and the room was lovely will definitely be back

Happy Accomodation!
Quirky layout of premises, with rooms upstairs through a separate main door next to pub. The bar downstairs (so handy for 'carry out'. lol). Terrific selection of wines and beers. The staff were welcoming and quick and happy to serve us, even opened a wee 'tab' for ease. Thanking James and Andy for looking after us. Our room (number 8) was tiptop, overlooking the main street (Lord Street) sat at table with tea on comfy chair in morning watching the Southport world go by! Twin beds with fresh bedding, flat screen TV, shower with two choices of height and styles. Excellent maid service every day ( we stayed 3 nights). Fresh towels and tea/coffee etc. One of the best and friendliest places we have stayed at and this being our first visit to Southport were so happy to have chosen it!

Good location, great bar, no breakfast but can recommend nearby wetherspoons, free on street parking a couple of blocks away, handy for conference centre

Absolutely terrible. Music played until 7am first night because they fogot to turn it off. Then, couldn't get a hold of a manager. Next night was a bit better, music blasting until 1am.

room was clean and tidy when we arrived , there is no mirror in the room so difficult for my wife to get ready for the wedding we were going to , when we came back from wedding about 7 pm the room had not been serviced the coffee and was had been replaced but the bed was not made and the dirty towels had just been hung up not replaced , about 3 30 am we were woken by someone shouting and banging on the next room door , let me in you f...... b....... my dad ownes this hotel let me in or i will batter you this went on for 10 min till the door opened and then crash bang , we told the owners daughter when leaving and she said sorry i will tell my mum , NOT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
