Super clean, nice place. Hot water tank probably undersized because shower was hot for 5 min, then went cold.

We faced a storm and the power went out. They have a power plant that allowed us to sleep comfortable (given how hot and humid, sleeping without A/C would have been difficult). The staff was very friendly, and very serviceable during the storm

The property has beautiful photos from say 10 years ago when everything was new. Now the facilities are deteriorated and have not had much upkeep. It was still a good stay. The beds were comfortable, and the location was nice. They do not allow you to rent any tours or jet skis and pick them up on their dock. It would have been nice to know beforehand.

The hotel in general was good, they had a seperate pool for children and adults which was not upheld, the adult pool was full of children… also no sunchairs there was about 4 in total. When questioned reception not much help… Second day there we ate in the restaurant and I got food poisning.. Having worked in restaurants 15 years of my life there is no excuse for bad hygene. My second day of two was spoiled because of this… at the time I was too sick to complain. The staff in general was attentive and very friendly.

El hotel está muy bien en términos generales. No es nuevo, pero el servicio es bueno, así como la atención del personal. El restaurante es excelente: platillos sabrosos y abundantes. El lugar en el que está ubicado no podría ser mejor, frente al lago , con muelles para tomar sol y lanzarse al agua. Debo mencionar que durante más de un día completo el cable dejó de funcionar, me pareció un detalle imperdonable para un hotel de esta categoría.

Good family location!
Banana Palms Hotel IS a fabulous place to stay for a fun fun family vacation. soooooo much to do for all ages and what is good, there is a kiddy pool and adult. Kayaks are provide and in a short minute you are paddling into the beautiful water of Lake Izabel. We had a 2 bedroom villa and it had a veranda / lanai that the kids hung out in. But they loved the water! Spacious rooms, very comfortable. Supper menu was pricey, so we did have meal off property.
