  • Traditionell steinwalesisk stuga inbäddat i bergen ovanför Talley med härlig utsikt över byn nedanför och kullarna bakom.
    Nyrenoverade i hela inklusive ett nytt kök, badrum, verktyg, bottenvåning toalett och vinterträdgård.
    Smakfullt inredda med bekväma lounger och sängar. Fullt utrustat kök. Torktumlare, tvättmaskin. Centralvärme och vedeldare i solstolen.
    Badrum till sovrummet och ett separat tv-rum med DVD-spel och cd-skivor.
    Lokal pub bara några minuters bilresa men kan promeneras 1/2 timme eller så. Endast 7 minuter från ett urval av stora andra pubar och butiker. Huvudsakliga shopping 15 minuter bort i Llandeilo.
    Vackra promenader längst ner på kullen och runt sjön med tillåtet fiske.
    Nära till många turistattraktioner som Talley Abbey, Newton HOuse, slott, trädgårdar.
    30 minuters bilresa till llanstefan stranden och köravstånd till Brecon Beacons, Pembrokeshire kusten, mumlar och mer
    Det finns en bäck som går genom fastigheten så att barn ska övervakas hela tiden eftersom det inte finns fäkt längs bäddsbädden.
    Härligt utomhusområde med grill, utomhusmiljö och paraply med den vackra Forrest omgivningen och utsikten.

Very authentic and charming!

We really wanted to experience Wales in as authentic a way as possible and we succeeded brilliantly by staying here! The cottage was perfect even if the drive up to it was a little interesting. If you are from the States as we are, you’ve never driven roads quite those in Wales.

Beautiful rural cottage

An absolutely beautiful stone cottage. Lovely and quiet. We enjoyed the sunroom in the afternoons with a glass of wine and a fire in the lounge room in the later evening and mornings. Highly recommended.

Quiet and relaxed

We went as a family group with mixed ages and mobility but the cottage catered for us all. Downstairs bedroom for my mother with MS, and plenty of space around to move her around in her wheelchair. Would definitely visit again. It was very chilled and relaxing.

Comfortable, Beautiful, Countryside

We drove in from Oxford for a week's stay, and the drive up through Wales was wonderful. The home sits on a hill with incredible views, and has quite a large patio that gets sun as long as it is out. The home itsels is large and comfortable, we got plenty of use out of the fireplace, kitchen, and sun room. We were just a quick drive from two lovely towns, as well as excellent hiking, which we enjoyed. The area is very relaxing if you are looking for a countryside getaway. The host, Barb, was communicative throughout and offered her assistance whenever needed. Special thanks again to them, would definitely recommend a stay here!

Awesome vacation home

I'm using the word "home" because that's exactly what this felt like for 9 wonderful days. It exceeded our hopes for comfort, contemplation and experiencing nature! The conservatory (solarium) was where we spent many hours reading, sharing conversation and time for thinking. The area walks were fantastic for me as a hiker and the local folks were kind and friendly. Our host was very responsive & helpful. I teared up when it was time to leave as I felt so emotionally connected to this charming home and picturesque countryside.

Fabulous Stay

It was an amazing and relaxing stay at Barb's House. The house is set in a tranquil location. Not very remote yet secluded. The views and outdoors are as beautiful as you can imagine. The house has its own character. It gives you the pleasure as you enter the home. Full of modern facilities so you won't miss a thing. Barb is an amazing host and has arranged so perfectly from arrival to every single detail to make the stay comfortable. We would like to visit again and also will recommend this place to our friends. Thanks for the amazing experience at your place, barb.

A Quiet and Relaxing Getaway

Really beautiful property with a great cosy feel to it. The fireplace was great at keeping the house warm and toasty. Kitchen is well stocked and the sound of the stream near by was lovely! The road going up to the property is a bit challenging so something to be mindful of with your vehicle. Very remote but a small village is a 15 minute drive away. The listing says there is a hot tub but they are just regular bath tubs - still great and relaxing! Just no jet element to them.

We could NOT have been happier!

If you are considering a trip to Wales, do not hesitate booking at stay here at "PLASNEWYDD". It was significantly more beautiful than the pictures in the listing. The house is warm, welcoming, and equipped with literally anything and everything you need to stay. You can tell that this is a HOME, not just a property put together for a rental. You will feel at home from the minute you walk in the door. Having breakfast in the conservatory, with the double doors open on that incredible view is indescribable, you need need to experience it. Thank you Barb for EVERYTHING! PS, your cleaner is indeed extraordinary, because everything is spotless!

Perfect stone cottage in Welsh hills

Lovely home from home. Everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable and everywhere was clean and tidy. Loved the bright conservatory, the large farmhouse style kitchen where we could all eat, and the delightful lounge with a wood burning fireplace. We even managed to eat outside on the spacious patio with fantastic views across the valley. The steep approach to the property was a bit disconcerting but we managed to master this without too much trouble. Talley Abbey ruins were very special as was the church next door. The villagers even provided refreshments in their little hall with tea, coffee, soft drinks, biscuits and ice creams - you just make a donation for what you have enjoyed and there is plenty of covered space outside to sit down too. They have thought of everything. Lovely walks to the lakes and beyond and the villagers are very welcoming. Thank you for a totally relaxing holiday.

Best B&B EVER!

What makes a great BnB? Comfy bed, dark, quiet room at night, accommodating breakfast... this has it all. But add to that, the most thoughtful host ever, gracious as the sun. He's considered everything you might need and supplied it in advance. The house is a historic log cottage set behind the most beautiful fairy-tale home you could dream of. The garden is gorgeous. Truly comfortable bed. I'm gushing because I wanted a second night... or a third. Strongly recommended!
