Horrible experience - do not waste your money on this property!Dan was by far the worst host we’ve ever experienced - I would go as far as calling him a fraud. The property is NOT as described. Nowhere on the listing does it say that you have to heat the house with logs - Dan does not provide logs despite charging an arm and a leg for this rental. We had to spend hundreds extra just to keep warm. The hot tub takes longer than 6-8 hours to heat up (again waste of our money on logs) and when we told Dan about this his response wasn’t helpful - he told us to just use the sauna instead. So beware - you pay for the use of these items and despite paying even more to actually use them you can’t and there is no concern from the owner. The wifi doesn’t work well, the place was not clean (the carpet was revolting), the kitchen items to use to cook with were filthy and had black crust all over them, there is not enough room for everyone to sit in the living room despite it being advertised as somewhere that can accommodate up to 11 people. You can’t use the toilet after you shower because the entire bathroom floor is wet as the shower drain is next to the toilet. Our most serious concern was the fact that the youngest member of our party (12 year old boy) was the only one to drink the water from the tap and he was violently ill for 2 days following.
