“Old-fashioned but very nice place to stay. I asked for a quiet room and they gave me a room towards the street.....as the hotel wasn't very busy i would've thought I'd be given a room towards the back. Lovely breakfast room and staff. ”

“Very clean modern hotel with pay parking outside. Convenient stopping place on way to West Wales. We have stayed at the sister hotels Celtic Manor and Coldra Court before and found this a more relaxing experience. Restaurant was well run with friendly staff.”

“This lovely old coaching inn is so convenient for Ross town centre. I love the sitting room (in winter they have a real fire). The staff are very helpful (offer to carry bags upstairs) and the good is better than excellent. This isn’t my first stay and it won't be my last. ”

“Great place to stay, especially with the dog. Fabulous walking right from the pod door. The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect.”

“Super accommodation. The staff are ultra attentive and the food is first class. Beautiful part of the world to stay in but maybe a little remote for some. Only slight drawback was we were housed in the ground floor room of the boathouse and the noise of people walking around in the room above is very loud. If they got up in the night it wakes you up.”
