Trevlig, familjär atmosfär.
Ett stort och ljust rum med dusch och toalett på korridoren. Trevligt, äldre par som äger och sköter huset med städhjälp. Frukosten var ok och läget av huset mittemellan 2 Metro stationer med 30 min från city och 10 min att gå från stationen..

Stop looking elsewhere and book this right now.
Lovely accomodation, really smart location near 2 stations. Owners really friendly, perfect for what we needed which was a place to stay near Ally Pally for a concert. Highly recommended. We will definitely be returning.

The owners are welcoming, friendly and good people. The only reason for writing a slightly negative review is because I feel that the way the "hotel" is marketed on Expedia is misleading to people like me who stay in a lot of hotels. This is not a hotel - it's someone's house where the rooms are let out. It's not clear, but you share the household bathroom - although it is a really nice one. You can't lock your room or make tea there. (You can help yourself in the kitchen.) The pictures of the rooms look very nice - but I wouldn't know because I had the box room next to the bathroom. Very small and cramped and not what I expected at all. It also needed thicker curtains as the sunlight woke me up from 5 am, although the bed was comfy. Also no breakfast is on offer at all nowadays. If you want a basic room in a friendly atmosphere at a decent price, then you can't go wrong. As I said, this review isn't designed to put people off - just add a little reality for those who were hoping for a normal hotel experience and didn't realise they wouldn't get that. I'd stay again, I just think it needs marketing correctly.

We arrived at 2pm to be greeted by the owner and taken to our room which was spacious and very clean. We were then offered a cup of tea which we politely declined as we were in a rush to get to central London in time for a get together. First impression really nice place. Then it became a bit strange. My husband went downstairs to collect a front door key only go find the owner with two other ladies sunbathing in swimwear/underwear in the garden. The owner asked one of the ladies to get us a key and she had to ask which one? I was then assured that all the keys were the se for the front door only. No way of locking our bedroom door from the outside. We then went to leave and as we went through the front door my husband was asked to move the car from the drive as this was where her brother parked his van. I then had a quick conversation with the owner and said that we would be back later so probably wouldn't see her later. We arrived back around midnight and no one was up as we expected It was then we discovered that there was no coffee or tea making facilities in the room which we were expecting from the advert and the bottle of water on the bedside tables was not in a sealed container. We did not drink it. The bed was really soft and uncomfortable for us both. It was 2 soft single mattresses with a memory foam topper again not what we expected from the description. The pillow on the other hand was rock hard. Next day no one around at 9am.We left.

Regularly visit my parents who live nearby and have always struggled to find a decent place to stay - Brooklyn House has been a wonderful discovery! A warm welcome the minute we arrived and a comfortable, beautifully furnished room. Only here for one night on this occasion but BH is perfect for all future visits including longer trips. Thoroughly recommend!

Very nice welcoming people and very nice home, parking also suprisingly easy and free in front. Modern, comfortable and good location for us as it was only 10 miles from our concert at Wembley and a few miles from the M25 so we could exit the London area easily. Would recommend highly to someone looking for a great value stopover a little out of the city.

The hosts went above and beyond to ensure I had the best possible stay. Andrew picked me up from the Tube station and dropped me back there the next morning, even though this lovely B&B is conveniently located for the Piccadilly line. A cup of tea was made for me on my arrival. This lovely, immaculately-kept home has smart, stylish hotel-standard rooms, and breakfast was tailor-made. I felt like a special, valued guest. Because Oakwood is only the second stop on the Tube line, I had my pick of the seats. The 30-minute ride passed in no time and I arrived at my city-centre conference refreshed, rested and ready. This is the way to stop over for London trips. I'm never going to waste my money on a grotty, overpriced city centre hotel again!

Pleasant enough but not perfect.
Ground floor room facing main road was too loud at night, even with windows closed. That road is more busy at night than I expected it to be. Add useless pillows and I had a terrible first night. Room needs a proper sleeping pillows not 2 tiny and 2 massive decorative pillows. Either I didnt pay attention or description wasnt very clear, but I was surprised to find out that the bathrooms are shared. Had to go upstairs to have a shower. Included breakfast was just a selection of cereals, some sliced cheese. Tea, coffee and scrambled egg on toast were offered too. Was hoping for a fry up really. Shame booking was non refundable would have stayed in Ramada otherwise.
