Mysigt weekendhotell i lugnt område
Trevligt hotell med bra rum. Lugnt läge med bra avstånd till centrum. Ingen frukost, utan den år vi på närliggande caféer. Enklare restauranger med pizza och mexikanskt på samma gata - gott om man vill ta upp på rummet. Enda nackdelen är att receptionen ligger i källaren, dit gick man bara vid in och utcheckning. Annars är det ju kul med en lobby där gästerna passerar.

It's great that there are nearby cafes for breakfast, and the variety of restaurants on the same street adds convenience. However, I understand the downside of having the reception in the basement. Supermysigt hotell och rent!
+ Hotellet var superrent och fräscht + Hotellet hade faciliteter såsom kakor, kapselkaffemaskin, gratis rakhyvlar, tandborste osv + Det var otroligt centralt - Det var en aning ljudstört, om någon pratar i korridoren kunde det höras (men det hände en gång på fyra dagar) - Det fanns en hiss som tog lång tid, så tips är att använda trapporna

The best thing about The Morton is the staff. Aural and Ken and the others are the friendliest most helpful hotel staff I have ever met in my wide travels. No challenge was too much for them. Rooms comfy and super clean, very important to us. Tea and drinks in library bar very low key and relaxing.

Excellent hotel in a great location. I downloaded the Shackle app so I was able to check in/out, pay and use my phone as a room key. Amazing! So easy. Room was really well decorated and very clean. Worth the money. I’d use this hotel again, without hesitation.

Top notch service in this convenient boutique hote
This cute boutique hotel is half a block from the Russell Square tube stop, so convenient to that and other mass transit. The room was clean and most quiet- some sirens - but you are in the city si not a big deal. I was lucky to be helped by front desk staffer Mimi on my overnight stay. She was SUPER helpful In suggestions for things to do in London, helping me understand the bus system and making sure I was well taken care of when I was in the hotel. Kudos to her hospitality. As for feedback, I do wish the room had more lighting. With the recessed ceiling lights and I think only one lamp it was dark. The bathroom was very nice and waterfall showerhead a treat! The place was clean.

Great Value
We have stayed in the Russell Square area several times, but this was the first time at the Morton. We stayed in one of the larger units with separate bedroom and living room, with a small kitchenette. It was an excellent value: roomy, quiet, and clean. Some of the furniture was a little dated, but that didn't matter. The only problem we had was the absence of light in the kitchenette, which made our rare attempts to use the area rather difficult, requiring use of our phones' flashlights to read appliance labels. The hotel is right up the street from the tube station, making arrival from and departure to Heathrow very easy, and allowing connections to other parts of the city for those who prefer not to walk. All in all, we were very happy with this choice.

Close to the train station. Even tho it was out of order, you can walk 10 mins to the next train station. The rooms are very clean and comfortable!

NO EARLY ROOMS AT THE MORTON HOTEL!!!
Upon arriving, I notified Morton Hotel that my flight was changed and got in early. I was reminded of the 2pm check in time, which I was aware of. I arrived at like 9am. The receptionist was very helpful and informed me he would try to get me in the first available room. He even gave me a map and showed me places to visit while in London. I left to go explore and came back around 12. There was a different receptionist at the front desk when I returned. I asked about the room update and she said its not available yet. However, I noticed a stack a files on the desk with hotel keys paper clipped to them. I noticed the top file had my name on it. Instead of inquiring, I waited patiently in the lobby. At 1:35pm (13:35), I joked with my partner and stated, “I will make sure to notify my social media followers to not show up early to this hotel.” The new receptionist must have heard me because immediately following my statement, she called me up to hand me the keys that were attached to that file I noticed earlier. I was confused, but I didn’t make it a big issue because I was tired/jet lagged from traveling from Atlanta and I wanted to get to my room to nap. Needless to say, if you are arriving early to London, DO NOT BOOK THE MORTON HOTEL! You will not get a room, unless this only happened to me being a black American man. Now the hotel is a nice boutique hotel, but needs improvement on service. The cleaning folks take forever to clean your room as well.

As a small boutique hotel, with only 34 rooms, when we are busy it can be difficult for us to accommodate all early arrivals particularly when guests do not check out earlier than 10am or when we must follow up with guests who have failed to check out on time. We will always try to accommodate early arrivals where we can, but all hotels will always recommend you book the night prior if you want to guarantee your room for an early arrival. This way we will hold a room empty for you the night prior, so it is available when you arrive from an overnight flight.When you stayed with us, we were having an issue with our key cutter receiving the correct information from the hotel software to cut the room key, which has subsequently been resolved. To ensure a smoother check in all room keys were being manually cut prior to arrival to assist in getting people to their rooms more efficiently, hence why you would have seen the room key attached to your registration card. I'm deeply concerned about the impression you've expressed regarding our service, particularly regarding any perception of discrimination. This is not in line with our values or the experience we aim to provide to all our guests.We take allegations of racism very seriously and conduct our operations with the utmost respect and inclusivity towards everyone.
