My husband and I were so happy to be able to snag a cabin right on Girl Lake in the Woman Lake Chain for a late fall weekend in September. The cabin was clean and has 3 rooms with many beds, 2 full baths on main level (one with a tub) and a half bath upstairs. The woodwork in the main living space is gorgeous. There’s ample living room furniture and a large dining room table if you have a big family or many friends you’re vacationing with. Perfect for brunch and playing cards or board games. We were able to watch football by bringing our Firestick and using the cabin’s wi-fi. The kitchen has a stove, microwave and fridge. There’s a sliding door onto the deck from the main living space. The deck is decent-sized with a table, lounge chairs and a Blackstone-type grill that overlooks the lake. It was so peaceful and quiet there. Just what we needed. We loved to hear the loons, see the otters swimming and come across the herons and other birds when we were out on the lake. The lake is literally just steps away from the cabin!!It’s just a couple minutes from Longville which has a grocery store, some nice shops and a few restaurants. We’d been to the Walker area previously and was happy that wasn’t far at all. Maybe 25 minutes, so we went there one afternoon so we could hit the shops and the restaurant we know and love. There’s also a casino nearby.
