Rickett’s Hidden Treasure- Sullivan County

Rickett’s Hidden Treasure is our 2 bedroom cabin located about 7.5 miles from Lake Jean/ Ricketts Glenn entrance on a secluded dirt road. It offers a little over an acre of peaceful, family fun on a road with very minimal traffic.

Enjoy sitting out around the fire or playing games inside and out. Head over to Ricketts and you can be there in 10 minutes or Worlds End in about 25 minutes. 15 minutes to Dushore. Enjoy the peace and quite away from others

Cozy 1200 sq ft single floor living space that is open and relaxing with a propane fire place and game area. 2 Private bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, and living space.

Bedroom #1 has a queen bed, dresser, and closet.

Bedroom #2 has a bunk bed featuring a single and a full.

Living space has a recliner, couch, and a futon that can be used as a sleeping spot.

Game corner features books, chalk board, board games, tic tac toe, basketball, and a fooseball table

Full size kitchen with propane stove and refrigerator. Washer and dryer in the bathroom. Bathroom features a tub.

We are pet friendly. Please just message to let us know you are bringing your pet!

Great outdoor peaceful spot. A grill and outdoor firepit in the back yard provided for additional cooking options and will make great memories around the fire. Large deck with family seating options.

Outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day at Lake Jean.

This is a cabin in the woods. You may experience deer, bear, turkeys, and other animals on the property. You also may see mice, spiders, or bugs as you are on a property in the woods. We recently have added a water cooler with fresh water for drinking. We have well water along with a house filtration system but some guests prefer to bring water to drink rather than the tap water. Please don’t hunt on the property. Thank you

We have bundles of fire wood available for sale. You are welcome to bring your own or use fallen limbs on the property, just please don’t cut down trees. We have some outdoor seating for the fire pit but would suggest also bringing your own along with some outdoor games if you wish!

  • The best hike if you like waterfalls, to be precise there are 22 of them. To see them all you will have to hike for about 7 miles. Dog friendly. I highly recommend you won't regret it! The hike is not very difficult, with accessional hikes up and down, but it is long considering that you will stop to admire and take pictures at most of the waterfalls. Bring lunch, snack and water if you planning to see all 22 waterfalls.

Was our second stay there and just as enjoyable as the first. Host was helpful and responsive as well as worked to accommodate our travel needs. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, decked out with lovely Christmas decor. Nice perk to have reasonably good Internet in the middle of nowhere. Dogs had a good time romping in the snow.

This place was amazing. Even better than the reviews and listing. There was so much space, it was clean, there were games and activities, the fire pit was perfect. Grill worked great, quiet and peaceful. My dogs loved it.

Rickett's Hidden Treasure was just that, a hidden treasure. My 18-year-old son and I (and our chihuahua, Alvin) enjoyed two nights in this secluded, clean, and well-stocked cabin. My son said it was one of his all-time favorite trips. We used all the amenities—the fire pit, the outside shower, the game room, the back deck. Check-in was super easy, and checkout was a breeze as well. The cabin is in a secluded but convenient spot—a short and scenic drive from Lake Jean and all the trails in the park. We will definitely book this cabin again. Highly recommended.

Excellent glamping experience

This was a great house for our outdoor adventure. Well stocked, clean and in a secluded area. We we're greeted nightly by 2 deer! House had a cabin feel which was perfect- my real camping days are over so this was a great compromise for our outdoorsman son.This is a desolate area so pack food & supplies to avoid driving.Had to leave 4 stars because mattresses are overdue to be replaced.

We were so pleasantly surprised at how secluded this property was! It was very clean and had everything we needed! It was such a relief not to lug towels, bed sheets and all with us. Our annual summer getaway!

We have been enjoying Kelby and Markie’s cabins for several years, this is our favorite place! They are wonderful hosts, you can see how much they care about their guests by how well maintained and how clean their cabin is kept. He is quick to respond if there should be any questions or problems you may encounter.The cabin is clean and fully stocked with the things you need for your stay; bedding, towels, games, grill, and kitchen equipment, everything is provided for you, except food.The town of Dushore is a few miles down the road, it also has everything; small diners, grocery store, gas and a few shops. Cute little town.Also near by are Ricketts Glenn and Worlds End State Parks for hiking, kayaking and swimming.To wind down in the evening, there is a nice fire pit, to sit, relax and stare into the amazing star filled night sky! Mountain Retreat

Hidden but Worth the Trip

This VRBO is very clean, easy to speak w/ owner and cozy, yet plenty of room ! It's a fun set up with a gas fireplace and ' game room'! The entry dirt road is fun to watch for animals.. Highly recommend for R & R, hiking/ exploring at Rickett's Glen or World's End state parks.

Cozy cabin off the beaten path

Was really pleased with everything about this booking. Hosts were excellent from initial communication about bringing my dogs and quick to answer any and all concerns before and during our stay. The cabin sits a little over a mile down a dirt road which was perfect for us..the further in the mountains the better! We were surprised to find how well equipped it was, with almost anything you could need during your stay, with an extra bonus of 5g wifi. It was a stone's throw from Ricketts Glen and within easy driving reach of World's End and Loyalsock. Had a few meals in the quaint town of Dushore and explored many of the local areas. We will definitely return in the fall for lots of hiking adventures with the pups!

Winter Wonderland!

My family and I decided to getaway for the weekend. Obviously, the dead of winter is most likely not the best time to go to Ricketts Glen, but it certainly fulfilled our needs. The cabin had everything we needed and things that were up our alley, like a dated TV and DVD player (oldie but a goodie), foosball table was clutch, and the fireplace was essential. Will look to be back for warmer weather—cheers!

Relaxing trip

We enjoyed our time at this remote cabin. Snow fell and made the mountain surroundings even more beautiful. It was clean and comfortable. We loved watching movies by the fireplace as well as the location to Rickets Glen. Messages were responded to quickly by the property manager. We would stay here again for sure!
