The leadership team for our girls’ troop reserved this location for a retreat weekend in which we planned our calendar for the year and discussed lots of other details. There are so many beds in this home that each leader (11 of us) got our own super-comfortable full or queen size bed with more to spare! We didn’t even use the master bedroom or the bunk room (except for as an office to lay out paperwork and stuff!). The spacious living room had plenty of cozy space for us to sit and talk for awhile, and even have movie night and play team building games. In between our sessions, we could relax on the wide front porch or stroll down to the River where we enjoyed lower leg massages in the rippling water, watched the abundant population of fish, and said hello to a few kayakers who passed by. Mealtimes were so easy with the double ovens, well-stocked kitchen, and large farmhouse table where we could all eat together. We had such an amazing time, that we’re going to make this an annual event for our leadership team at this location! The only problem - it was too short. We’re going to add another night to our retreat so we can enjoy this space longer.
