Weekend get away for small family
We booked this home for a January weekend get away from Colorado to warmer weather in Santa Monica to visit friends living in Sawtelle. The host, Ron, was super helpful, flexible, and responsive. The home was perfect for our needs with the two bedroom, one bath layout. The beds are very comfortable and the common areas are great for hanging out and catching up with friends. This property is well situated for taking advantage of beach, shopping and fantastic restaurants nearby. We highly recommend and will look to book future vacations here.

Great place for a group!
10 of us decided to stay here for a quick weekend trip Santa Monica/LA. There were plenty of pillows, blankets, and towels to accommodate us. Neighborhood was nice, quiet, and close to the beach. If you’re staying here with 10 people I’d highly recommend bringing an air mattress or two, just because the futons aren’t the biggest. Having one bathroom was tough, but it was what we signed up for, and we made it work!

Great Experience
It was such a great experience for our family, we felt at home, slept great and enjoyed being out all day knowing our belongings were secure in our little home away from home. Ron was great with the communication and made it veery easy and pleasent, great experience all around!!

Our stay in Sawtelle
We found the property to meet our needs overall. It was very pet friendly. As pet owners we tend to eat in most nights. We found the kitchen supplies somewhat lacking. A greater verity of glassware would have been nice and a larger selection of cookware. These are not show stoppers. The location is good and stores were close by. It was a nice neighborhood to walk our dog. Overall we were satisfied with our stay. Ron was attentive to our needs.

Excellent Experience!
The location is perfect and the home is clean and welcoming! The owner- Ron- communicated in a quick manner and answered every question we had. He even let us check in early and waived the fee since we had no rental car and all of our luggage in tow-i definitely recommend Ron and this awesome vacation spot to stay! ❤️😄

Cute house in amazing Location
We had an amazing stay in L.A. in this great house. It has everything you need and the greatest location. The freeway is very close and grocery shopping just a quick car ride. We can definitly recomment this House and would love to come back!

House needs a lot of love
Communication with the owner is terrible. The shower cartridge broke while my 8 year old daughter was taking a shower. The shower was old and rusted. The owner blames us for it and claims that excessive strenght was used. Which is not true. Now, he would not return the security deposit. Not a good experience. We use Homeaway a lot and this is the first time it happened that something broke and the owner is not responding.

Dear guest: The plumber said under normal turning on/off, use only the handle would break, not the heavy duty metal inside the pipe in the cartridge. He said he has never seen this break, unless excessively pulled out. We paid a lot of money to fix the problem caused and get the house ready for the next guest. It was a very stressful experience for us, but the next guest was kind enough to give us extra time to fix it. Regards Ron

Not picture perfect ...not happy
Not clean. Dust in toaster/kitchen. No filtered water didn’t work. Washer and dryer stackable is leaking. Not up to code. No fire alarms. Do not book this property!!!

Very poor service
Check in information needs to be updated also they did not provide the right door PIN and emails and messages weren't being responded in a timely manner. The house was very dirty and the furniture was duty and old! It was not ready to be used at all. The price that we paid was not worth it

Poor communication and not as represented
Very poor communication with the owner. He responded slowly at first and then not at all. Mold is in the bathroom down the walls and follows the ceiling line — not just in the shower but on the actual bathroom walls. I could not stay at the property due to the mold and that is when all communication with the owner stopped completely. He said the cleaning people would come out but you cannot clean mold like that with cleaning products. The location was good and the access was easy but the mold could not be overlooked and then the lack of communication accounted for my poor review.

Good price and location with some problems
We really enjoyed our weekend stay but ran into a couple of really fixable problems. The biggest issue was lack of communication - the code for the door changed after our first night there and when we came back to the house at the end of the day, we were locked out. I called Ron several times and left messages and he never got back to me. We were able to reach inside the dog door to unlock it but him never responding bothered us a lot - what would we have done if we couldn’t have gotten in? There weren’t any simple amenities - there was less than a full roll of toilet paper. The couches need a major upgrade and the dishwasher was very, very loud. It’s a really great location and Ron was very nice and helpful when we spoke to him before the rental time but he didn’t respond to problems while we were there.

Great Stay Overall
Beds were great! Overall comfy quiet neighborhood stay. Great location for our business trip. Living room furniture needs some help. Glass table was scary as it looked like it would crumble if you put a plate of food on it. Shower handle broke but Ron was very quick about getting back to us with a solution. Would definitely stay here in the future.

Ron’s house is well situated and offers great access to many interesting places, like Santa Monica Beach, Museum of Tolerance, Fox movies, .. There is also easy food shopping close by. Unfortunately the house was not very clean when we got there, no kitchen towels, not enough towels in the bathroom, ... Ron tends to answer very late. We would have loved to get answers sooner in orderto be able to do a proper planning. All in all, it was ok though.

Great place to stay!
This property was on the perfect street! It was so close to everything and super quiet. The house was quaint and comfortable. Our family felt at ease and very safe hanging out and sleeping. We had a nice rainy day where we were able to stay inside and watch movies on the Roku. As stated it was super close to the beach and to Universal Studios.

Great Place to Stay...but minor repairs needed
This was a good house in a good location for the three of us. It was neat and clean with a very updated kitchen. Ron was helpful on the phone solving issues with the front door lock combination and Sling/Roku TV reception. We enjoyed our stay, but attention to the following minor repairs would have increased our rating to 5 Stars.... several of the window blinds need to be replaced... posts on the front porch are not attached to the floor(could be dangerous)... the garbage disposal runs, but has no teeth, so it does nothing... the dimmable lights in the living room flicker, probably indicating a poor electrical connection... the bathroom door handle fell off. If these minor things are fixed, we will definitely stay here on our next visit to LA.

Great location!!
The house was great for our first visit to LA. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was nice to have to cook in on the nights we did not want to eat out. The location of the house was great for all the things we had planned to do. Would stay here again if we come back to LA.

My family had a great time staying at Ron's property. It was clean and cozy. It felt safe and was close to everything, my kids were able to walk about 3 blocks away to the train and take it to the Santa Monica Pier in no time! Close to UCLA and eateries, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely loved the house and the location!!
I was travelling with two friends and we stayed in this 2 bedroom house and absolutely loved it. The location is great only 10 min by car from santa monica pier and it is located in a quiet nice little Street. Everything was super easy from check- in to check- out. We had no problems at all and would definitely stay here again. I can certainly recommend staying in the house.

Immaculate property for a great price and pet-friendly
Our options were not many since we were traveling with a dog, however this house turned out to be a great rental, in top condition and very comfy. It is very close to a Metro station and the Santa Monica freeway, so location is hard to beat in terms of easy access. The pull out couches turned out to be comfier in their couch mode rather than in the bed mode. The rest of the beds and furnishings were more than adequate. Kitchen was great, would only suggest adding a non-stick pan to the inventory. People with severely misbehaved children may be concerned with glass center tables. Neighborhood seemed very safe and reasonably lit (compared to many parts of LA that don't have adequate street lighting), there was some noise due to the freeway proximity barely audible from inside the house though. Although posting depicts location accurately, the property is not in Brentwood as the title suggests, since it is south of Wilshire, but who cares? A great stay, and a deal hard to beat. Thanks Ron!

Thank you for your review Alejandro! I will check on the location, it used to show close to I 10 freeway and Bundy. I heard the county changed some addresses to include South and North Wellesley ave. Exactly what we needed.
This was a good find for what we needed out of our stay. The house was spacious and clean with comfortable beds. The location was on a nice, quiet street, but right in the thick of things. Some close by places to walk to, but also an easy uber ride away from everything else. The house lacked a bit of character and wasn't really decorated in any certain style, but that wasn't really why we were staying there, so wasn't a big deal at all. The rooms are big, the kitchen is updated, AC unit if you need it, and wifi worked well. Also- one suggestion is to add bathroom rugs! We had plenty of nice towels, but nothing to step onto when we got out of the shower and stepped onto the (somewhat slippery!) tile. Other than that, we had a great stay and would rent again. Thanks!

Nice house in a nice and quiet neighborhood
We stayed 13 nights, and enjoyd the house. We had a car, and it makes it easy to travel around. It's also near to the train and bus station, and we some nights used the train to down town Santa Monica and back. We found what we need in the house, and Ron has been helpful, -and answears E-Mail quickly when we had questions. Washing machine and dryer has been nice to have. Nice kitchen! We would love to come back one day!

Comfy place on a quiet street
Although the neighborhood is close to the freeway (great for convenience!) it was surprisingly tranquil, which was very nice. We were there over a couple of hot days, and the window unit A/C was not adequate. But Ron was extraordinarily responsive and had another in place within hours. Pretty impressive. The house is nicely remodeled on the inside and convenient to the freeway and beaches (about 15-20 minutes), so we came and went with ease. I'm glad we chose this rental and would do so again.

The Perfect Home!
I am very happy I picked this home to stay! We were able to fit the 8 of us very comfortably with 2 beds and 2 pull out sofas. The kitchen, dinning room and bathroom were very clean. We were able to easily park our 4 cars in the drive way. Stores and the Santa Monica pier were way closer than I thought, so that saved us a lot of time and gas. Aside from the awesome experience in the home, I am extremely thankful to Ron! The booking process was very simple and we kept in contact throughout our stay. He responded to my messages right away and he was very helpful. I definitely recommend this property, as I mentioned earlier we were very pleased with our stay. I hope to be able to stay here again in the future now that I experienced such an easy booking process. Thank tou Ron! Laura

Really nice place!
I'm glad we chose this house. We didn't spend much time there, but it was very cozy and comfortable. My only suggestions would be to make sure there is a welcome guide (I had to bother the owner for simple things like retrieving the wifi code), and to do away with the love seat. The living room is too nice and updated to have a piece of furniture like that. Otherwise, as aforementioned, we had a really good stay. It's definitely a property would consider using again.

Nice little house. Missing a few things.
First the good things. This is a nice and quiet little 2BR house about a 10 minute drive to Santa Monica Pier. There is driveway and street parking available in a pretty nice neighborhood. The three of us (wife + son) fit perfectly. Internet and cable TV worked great. Brand new fridge and microwave. The not so good: The house was missing a few things I would expect a vacation rental to have. There was no hair dryer (the owner shipped a brand new one overnight for us). There are towels for the shower, but no washcloths or hand soap. The kitchen has basic essentials (plates and utensils), but not things like cooking spray, salt and pepper shakers, tongs, kitchen towels, and paper towels. There was nothing provided for the beach (chairs, towels, umbrellas). There is a stackable washer/dryer in the kitchen, but no detergent was provided. There is a parked car and guest house in the backyard that I presume is occupied although I never saw anyone during my stay. This was only mildly creepy (we kept the blinds to the backyard shut). I would recommend this house once it is properly stocked.

Nice and confortable house
House is as described. All major appliances are new and of high quality. Quite neigbourhood. Walking distance to Trader Joe's and a japanese market. Almost in the corner of Pico St where you can catch a bus to the beach. A few meters from the I10 entrance. Ron, the owner, would do everything to please the guests. Two little problems were solved imediately. We hope the place is available when we return next year.

Street view of rental was very deceiving. Lawn was neglected and unkempt. Mini blinds and curtains through the house were shabby. Lighting in house left a lot to be desired. No table lamps in any rooms. Confusing fan and light control s in bedrooms. Multiple burned out bulbs in ceiling lights through out the house. Doorknob in master bedroom fell off. Shower temp difficult to control. Knob fell off in there as well. No place to sit outside, front or rear of home. Access to yard was blocked. New mattresses were comfortable. New comforters on bed. Re: linens and towels, one small bathmat and no washcloths at all. No dishcloths in kitchen, either. Would not stay again, nor would I recommend to others.
