Ett perfekt ställe att bo på om man ska besöka Universal studios.Hotellet ligger på gångavstånd (ca. 10 min.) från shuttle bussarna till och från Universal studios. Robert och hans personal var väldigt service minded bl.a. tipsade om ett bra parkeringshus i närheten av Hollywood boulevard och vi fick ha kvar bilen på hotellets pakeringsplats under tiden vi var på Universal Studios fast vi redan checkat ut. Rummet vi bodde på var fräscht och välutrustad och frukosten var också bra. wi-fi var stabil och snabb.

Bra hotell med egen entré. Trevlig hjälpsam personal. Bra närhet till universal studios. Ralphs mataffär i närheten med stort utbud. Frukost ok för att vara i USA.

Fint, fräscht och nära Universal
Vi blev väldigt väl bemötta. Supertrevlig hotelägare samt övrig personal. Nära Universal (tio min promenad till gratis shuttle). Gratis parkering. Jättegod indisk restaurang bredvid hotellet. Skulle definitivt bo här igen!

Kan mycket varmt rekommendera detta hotell ifall ni planerar att besöka Universal Studios. Gångavstånd till gratiståget som tar er upp till Universal. Mycket fräscht hotell, trevlig personal och bra frukost.

Trevlig personal och bra läge
Vi bodde fyra nätter här och trivdes jättebra! Alla i personalen är supertrevliga och ger gärna tips på saker att göra i närområdet och i övriga LA. Toppen med parkering och endast 10 min promenad till metro om man som vi ville utforska centrala LA utan bil. Allt var rent och snyggt och frukosten var toppen.

Fick bo i den nyrenoverade delen av hotellet, mycket fint rum och toalett, hotellfrukosten var helt OK. Personalen under ledning av Robert var supertrevliga och hjälpsamma med tips och "HowTo". Hotellet ligger lättåtkomligt till de flesta sevärdheter och stora vägar. Mataffärer, pub, bensin och restauranger mycket nära. Nästa gång vi ska till LA så är valet inte svårt. Rekommenderas varmt.

Fantastisk service. Personalen hjälpte till med allt vi behövde, såsom tips på restauranger, sevärdheter, smarta trix för att undvika köer. Fräscha rum & god frukost (för att vara amerikansk). Kunde inte valt ett bättre ställe. Värt varenda krona!

I did a lot of research and came upon this property. It was cute and quiet. Parking right outside the door makes for easy unloading. It was perfect for a couple. Yes you can walk to universal but it is a little bit longer than what they advertise. There’s a big hill after the walk and there’s a shuttle provided by universal you can use to take up the hill. We ended up ubering back after a long day of walking (11$). Which was perfect. Overall I was happy with the property. Clean and updated. They had small breakfast provided and coffee in the am (oatmeal and muffins). Perfect to get the day going. Would stay here again

Rose Bowl Game
When we drove up we were a little worried, however that was quickly gone with the clerks helpfulness. The room was very nice and we could see that they were remodeling the hotel. We had chosen this place because we were staying at Disneyland and we didn’t want to drive to the Rose Bowl game early in the morning. This was a perfect spot for us!

The staff was very helpful and friendly, they let us check in early. Room small but with everything we needed, the bathroom though was very spacious with excellent products. 15 min walk to universal studios tram.

I lived in LA for over 25 years so I guess this should give me some cred. The hotel was easy to locate; one parking spot came with the room and to boot, it was right in front of my room. Check-in was smooth but if you're a smoker (which I am not), you will be charged a deposit. The staff was courteous and playful, which made the check-in process easy after sitting for hours in LA traffic. There are several restaurants you can walk to. I chose an indian food place across the street (SO GOOD!) The room was clean with nice faux wooden tiles. The hotel itself felt safe. THE DRAWBACK: Listen, I hate soft beds. I just do. I feel like I am sinking in them. SO if you are like me, expect to have a bit of hard time sleeping. I like firm beds and wish I had known but -= that being said, that was the only drawback to booking the space. I can't speak to the coffee and "breakfast" because I never had it and never do when I stay in any hotel. This hotel was a deal; it was really close to everything and accessible.

My friend came here from Japan for the first time and I really wanted to let him have a fun experience in America and at Universal Studios. We booked the El Royale because of how close it is to Universal and how affordable it was compared to other hotels. Our experience was lovely and the employees were incredibly kind and accommodating. This is also probably an odd thing to comment on, but I loved that there are hard wood floors rather than carpet. They looked and felt so much cleaner than the past hotel carpets I’ve seen, it made me wonder why hotels bother at all with carpet in the first place! The shower is really nice. They let us drop off luggage early, and let us check out early to make our flight on time. We can’t thank you enough for the seamless experience.

My goodness. Where do I start? This hidden gem was totally unexpected. I was looking for a place for my wife and daughter to stay before a day at Universal in the big name hotels were double the price of the El Royale with lower ratings. I am normally not a fan of older properties, but what an incredible surprise. First of all, Robert is one of the nicest and most helpful property managers I have ever talked with. I had a question before the booking that he answered quickly, and then I had a mixup on the reservation that he happily took care of for us. When my wife and daughter got to the property he greeted them by name, got them into a wonderful room, and even upgraded them to a two bed unit. He also provided recommendations for an outstanding local restaurant. The pictures of the property don’t do it justice. While it is an older “ motor lodge” design, the Gardens units are extremely well-kept, clean, and large. It’s not the Ritz Carlton, but you’re not paying for the Ritz Carlton either. I highly recommend the El Royale Gardens, and especially Robert the proprietor, to anyone!

The staff are extremely nice and hospitable. They upgraded our room for free and provided an electric water boiler when we asked for hot water. They sincerely want us to have a comfortable stay with them.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay here while visiting Universal Studios. Hotel was nice, clean, and updated and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Was a short Lyft ride away from Universal Studios. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

This was a house behind the resort. We we re shokes how filthy and old tjis house was. My sister recently passed away from overdose so my parents we r e here from Florida to bring her lids together for comfort and relief from the stress. The carpet was filthy. The blinds and window treatments were broken and old. This ho6se needs to ne upgraded. The kitchen floor was dirty....My parents paid over $1,400 for 4 days. My mother spent time cleaning instead of relaxing. When you pay that kund of moneyto stay somewhere the environment should ve pristine
