Just right
We needed to stay close to family in South Pas and this perfectly fit the bill. Clean and totally functional for our group of three. Steps upstairs were a little steep but very large sleeping space and very comfortable beds. Highly recommend.

PERFECT COZY, SAFE PROPERTY
Our stay at this lovely, simple Vrbo property was clean, safe, comfortable, quiet, and convenient for travel. We adored the beautiful neighborhood with parks, shops, and restaurants nearby. Cara promptly responded to our questions and offered great recommendations for food, sights, and a local masseuse! In January, there was adequate heating for the upper and lower areas. We highly recommend this quaint Vrbo to all travelers to the Pasadena area!

Sweet small space
This is a simple basic setting with two large rooms. It has wonderful special features for childre like small furniture and toys. There are nice touches like coffee beans and grinder, plenty of dishes and utensils. The kitchenette is not adequate for real cooking, but excellnt for serving prepared or order-in food. It is in a charming neithborhood on one of the prettiest streets in South Pasadena.

Affordable and Great!
Our stay was for 10 days to visit with family and friends. The rental was clean, the beds were comfy and it was in a great location. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. We typically didn’t get home until late, but on the nights we were back early, we were able to watch movies upstairs which was very nice. This place is definitely cozy and I would stay here again when I visit L.A. I’m so happy I was able to find something affordable to accommodate my family.

Great!
It was perfect for what we were looking for- a place to sleep in a clean, comfortable place that was very suitable for our kids. The upstairs had tons of toys for our kids to play with while we were there. It was in a very safe neighborhood. Cara was super awesome and helpful!

The neighborhood was quiet and nice. The place was clean and conveniently located for our purposes - we were visiting friends in Temple City. There's no oven or stove (I must have missed that in the listing).

Very nice guest house in beautiful neighborhood,
My wife and I enjoy staying in local neighborhoods and visiting local sites. This one in Pasadena was fun and close to things we wanted to do in SoCal, particularly in Hollywood and Pasadena. We would stay here again.

Loved the space!!
The rental was perfect for what we needed and every inch was a usable space. There were 4 of us all together and we had plenty of room to relax and stretch. There were so many activities, games, and toys to entertain inside the rental. We utilized the ping pong table and my 6 yr old had a blast with the variety of toys. The neighborhood was beautiful and at a perfect location for what we needed. The beds were comfy as well. I highly recommend this rental.

Short Trip
We came into Pasadena for a couple days and found this little gem on the VRBO site. It was perfect for our needs, very clean and able to sleep 5-6 easily. We would look to stay here again if we come back to Pasadena. Thanks!

Comfortable
The guest house was very comfortable. The portable air conditioners were very adequate. We slept well, in a dark cool bedroom with comfortable beds. The bathroom is downstairs so it is a little inconvenient if you are a person who needs to get up in the middle of the night, but we knew that ahead of time. The neighborhood was really, really nice and close to lovely Garfield Park and about 15 minute walk to coffee shops.

S. Pasadena hideaway
We really enjoyed this rental in a quiet neighborhood . While there were just the two of us, it would be a great place to stay for families with children because of all the toys and games provided. And, owner Cara is quick to respond to any question.

Great South Pasadena guest house for family
I have three children aged 16, 13, and 2 and it was so nice to have a place for them to be comfortable, each have their own sleeping space, and a wide open area upstairs to play. The kitchen was convenient and helpful, and the location was amazing. The home is walking distance to an amazing park and the main road Fair Oaks Ave where you can find oodles of places to eat. The host also did an amazing job of communicating. We will be back!

Great place for family
We liked the privacy of the place and its child friendliness. My teenage boys could play basketball in the yard when we got back from long days of sightseeing. Great park, food and stores nearby. Cara was a very responsive host!

Great Stay
We traveled to South Pasadena to play in the West Coast Kubb Championship and were looking for a place to stay close by for our family of 5. This rental was perfect, walking distance to everything, tournament at Orange Grove park, restaurants, groceries, etc. Everything was very clean and well kept. We really enjoyed our stay and the rental. Will definitely try to rent again when we return.

Great location just outside of LA. Exceptionally safe neighborhood with secured parking. It was perfect for our family of four (2 adults and 2 teenage boys). Affordable restaurants nearby with good food and easy access to the expressway.

Quiet Neighborhood
If all you need is a quiet place to rest and put your head down, this is the perfect place. It's a modest, simple, in-law with basic necessities. My friends and I stayed here while we were in town for a wedding, so it was perfect as we didn't need to cook. Cara was very accommodating and responsive to my emails and texts. We ate out for every meal, (great restaurants in the surrounding area) and most of our time was spent out and about in South Pas. and the surrounding cities, so we didn't miss having a kitchen or scenic views. I think it would be good for a small family as well, it's very kid friendly. Beds were comfy and clean. My one minor complaint is that I missed having basic access to local news channels as the fires were going on in Malibu and in Paradise. All in all a great weekend for us.

We had a short stay but it fit our needs well. We had our 3 year old with us and there was an abundance of toys for her to play with which was great because we didn't pack many. It was well located and provided us a comfy place to sleep while we were in town for a friend's wedding.

Great little place. Just what we needed.
We stayed here for our visit to Universal Studios. It was perfect for what we needed. We didn't spend a ton of time in the unit but it was a perfect place to lay our heads after a long day at Universal. The owner is very communicative and easy to work with. My son appreciated having the toys to play with. Overall it was a very comfortable place and if the opportunity arises I will stay again. Thanks for everything!!

Just what we needed
We were looking for a place to sleep with air conditioning -- this more than met our needs. Converted garage -- upstairs sleeps four -- just like the ad says! The sloped ceilings were a little troublesome despite the signs. Maybe contrasting colors or tape would be a useful reminder. Recommend keeping your luggage on the ground level where the bathroom/kitchenette is. Definitely recommend!

Cute and comfortable
This home is private and comfortable. It’s a bit far from attractions, such as the beach and Six Flags Magic Mountain, but that’s the only downside. Would definitely recommend

Great walking neighborhood with lots of restaurants within just a few blocks.
This price was great and we loved the neighborhood. It's not a rental that made us want to spend a lot of time in the unit just hanging out, but it is comfortable and has all the necessities. The owner left a list of their favorite restaurants and we tried most of them. Had great meals and walked all over the neighborhood. There is a beautiful shaded family park one block away and there were people out walking and in the park even at 10 pm as we wandered home from the neighborhood ice cream shop. A lovely place to visit.

Quiant backhouse with all the comforts of home!
Perfect place to stay if you are looking to visit the area. Centrally located in a safe neighborhood with easy access. Aparement had all the comforts of home, the smart TV With Netflix was a bonus. Drawbacks ... we visited in the heat of summer and small air conditioners could not keep up to keep place cool, especially the loft area where we slept. One bathroom downstairs, shower is to die for!!! But tough for those who need to use restroom in the night and have to navigate stairs each time. Otherwise, enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend!

Nice and safe

Great place to stay for our family of four!
This place was the perfect place for our family of four. It was my husband and I and our two boys, ages 18 and 20. My boys loved the fact that they each had their own twin bed and they didn't have to share a bed or sleep on the floor. My husband and I also loved that there was a memory foam on the queen bed since that is what we have at home so the bed was very comfortable. We were out and about all the days we were in California, so all we needed was a comfortable place to sleep at night and this was the perfect place. The upstairs loft was very roomy and spacious so we never felt like we were bumping into each other. Even the downstairs kitchen area was roomy. We definitely would not have gotten all that space in a hotel room. We loved the quiet neighborhood as well. We loved our stay here and we will definitely stay here again when we come back to California. Thank you, Cara, for making our stay so great!

Very clean and cozy
We had a great stay! Everything was very clean, cozy, organized, and thought out. I love that there were no shoes allowed upstairs. We don’t wear shoes at home for a reason. It just made me feel like the place was cleaner than if shoes were allowed. When traveling you want to feel somewhat comfortable and it was nice to feel that way while away from home. It was the perfect set up up for my size family. The toys were a bonus. The morning that we were packing up my kids were upstairs playing and we didn’t even hear a peep. The legos were a hit! It was awesome! The neighborhood is really nice and super close to Garfield park and fair oaks with lots of places to eat including the old soda fountain with a great place to get candy and ice cream. We come to California once a year to visit family and I will definitely look for availability for next time! Thank you for a great place to stay!

Great place to stay in quiet neighborhood
The place was bigger than we expected. It had everything as advertised and more. Our kids loved playing with the legos. We enjoyed the use of their smart TV. WiFi acces was great. We really liked the small kitchen. It was perfect for our needs (it could use a broom). Parking in their driveway was great. Communication with the owner was fast and easy. We would stay again!

Clean, Nice and Centralized in LA County not far from major attractions
Cara was great with accommodating my family and friends. She was quick at responding my questions. The 1 large bedroom upstairs was more than accommodating. There were toys for our girls and comfortable beds. We were able to visit Universal Studios, Magic Mountain, the Science Center and even made a trip to Legoland in Carlsbad, look up "Go Card LA" for awesome deals. The home had it's own gated parking and away from the big city hassle. Thank you, Cara, for letting us stay at your place for an exciting 4 days.

Private pool house in a great location
We stayed for 2 nights in order to be close to our daughter, who lives in South Pasadena, about 3 blocks away. We did not meet Cara, but access to the pool house was simple and we did not have any issues. We had a simple breakfast there (required just a microwave), but I think someone could make a simple meal with some creative use of available tools! The house is definitely on the cool side, but space heaters are available. Taller folks need to watch the sloped ceilings in the bedroom area, but the bed (queen) is comfortable. The bathroom is downstairs but ample lighting for night-time use is in place. We would certainly stay here again, and have recommended it to our daughter & son-in-law should they have friends visit them. Thanks Cara!

GREAT FOR THE PRICE!
An inexpensive, quiet, comfortable and fun place to stay. We played ping pong and the kids loved the toys. The upstairs was a very comfortable place to sleep. Kitchen was small but had all the necessities. Overall, wonderful for the bargain price! Will definitely stay again.

It is ok for this price
It is a garage house, too many stuff in the room, no space to walk. Even they put exercise machine in the room, almost hit my child. Three beds in a room, and I should put air in the air bed at mid- night. Have many toys, kids can play.

Thank you for your candid response Leah! We are just starting to rent out our back house, and you were our VERY FIRST GUEST! We have taken your advice and made improvements - we have a nice queen bed (no more air!) upstairs, and the ping pong table is folded up to make more room (and can be unfolded for our guests who would like to stay.)
