Severely below par
I am one who rarely writes reviews but this one is necessary. We greatly disappointed with the overall cleanliness of the apartment. 1) The kitchen was a mess. The refrigerator had broken shelves on the door. The dishwasher did not clean dishes properly. We needed to hand wash every plate, pot, pan and glass before initial use. There after we never used the dishwasher. 2) The dust under the couch and beds was disgusting and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. 3) The carpeting was old, dirty and dusty. 4) The bathroom windows had no window shades/blinds which allowed light from the courtyard to flow into the bedroom in the evening disturbing our sleep. 5) We were told we would get replacement bulbs for missing ones in the hallway and dining area which never came. 6) We were also told we would get replacement for pots and pans. These too never appeared. Our cost for a 30 day rental was just under $5000 which included VRBO fee and taxes. Totally overpriced!

Hi Linda, there were a lot of things corrected in the place. I suggested if you wanted a new place, you should have booked something about $230 per night. The place shows as in the photos that it isn’t new. As far as cleanliness the place was clean, show me pictures (time dated) of checkin where there was dirty restrooms, dirt under the beds and dirty dishes. You expected something new, which the place is not. I have gotten several 4-5 star reviews on Air bnb for this place, last one being before you booked. They stayed one month and wanted to renew 2 more months. But I had to accommodate your stay, which I wish I did not. I would have happily cancelled your reservation and returned your money same day. In the future do not book a place at $140 a night with discounts if you want it to be new. Book something at $230 per night that’s upgraded. The place was clean, just not new, there’s a difference. You are a complainer and as the host $3500 of that was received, the rest were your fees and taxes charged through the site. You had a very cheap stay. I will be updating the place as I told you in May or June. The place will be a lot higher per night around $220 per night, when complete. In addition you were not the cleanest guest, per my cleaners. My suggestion is next time book something new about $200-$230 a night. The area probably won’t be as great as this place, but it will be newer in this price range. For future bookers if your wanting a new place that’s updated, this isn’t the place to book. However I will be updating it soon. Photos show exactly what your booking/ in a great area by the way.

Property is old and dirty
The neighborhood is great and the host is amazing. But the property is old and needs a lot of repairs. There are no blinds (or blinds that work) on many of the windows and the interior condo structure lights are right in front of the bathroom windows making it bright at night. The condo was dusty and there was food and grime under almost every piece of furniture. The carpets are just plain gross. The coffee maker had days old coffee left in it. The host really needs to fire the cleaners!

Winter Stay
This was a great place to stay for two months. The location is in a quiet safe area with wide streets; plenty of street parking along with two secure garage spaces. The views from the balcony at night are spectacular. Nicole was attentive to any issue we had and we would stay here again.

Again Thank you so much Albert! You and your wife were the perfect guests. Albert fixed any little thing in the place that needed attention, and never said one thing. I would definitely love to have them back again! Highly recommended for any host. You would be lucky if he books your place. Nicole :)
