This is a beautiful property. While I did not stay inside the castle my suite had charm. It had the most interesting design on the ceiling I heard it had been done by local residents using their fingers in the spackling. The restaurant on site is quaint with delicious food and friendly wait staff. There were a few things in my suite that needed attention ( no vent in the bathroom) it seemed as if the switch was broken. There was a crack in the bottom of the jacuzzi tub, I noticed once I was in there. No holder for a hand towel by the sink in the bathroom and very tiny trash cans. I did have an amazing relaxation massage by a wonderful professional. I plan to return in the warmer months to take advantage of the outdoor activities. Overall a wonderful experience!

Gorgeous setting, exterior landscaping and building very well-kept. However, that's where the honeymoon ended. Staff seemed disinterested at best, with the exception of Roger, our waiter at the Copper Mug. He was a delight! Room was beautiful, but poorly maintained. Blood stain on the coverlet of the bed, dripping shower head was maddening at night, freezer was all frosted over, sink drain was mostly clogged, toilet didn't flush well, cracked sink, and the tub jets and body sprays were broken with a sign saying 'please don't use'. The pool area was very cool, but the "hot tub" was essentially a hot bath. I asked how to turn on the jets, they said "There are none, the water just 'percolates'". It HAD jets, they were just not functional. The Copper Mug Restaurant was disappointing as well. From the apathetic hostess to the indifferent manager, I've had better service at Bob Evans. While waiting for a table, we sat at the bar for about 15 minutes without being acknowledged or offered a drink. I get it, places are understaffed, but to have waitstaff literally standing in front of you without as much as a hello is just weird. And lastly, the bathroom was filthy, just to add to the experience. Overall, for the HUGE price tag, this was a colossal disappointment. I'd try Glen Laurel in Hocking Hills, similar price, so much better.

We're sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us. We certainly don't want our guests feeling this way when they are with us. To address some of your concerns, the hot tub in the pool house does have jets. They are on a timer that gently circulate the water. They are not the strong jets many expect to have. We wished to have known about the issues you faced in your room, to better address them. We would have been more than happy to correct the issues you had. We have sent your concerns to the maintenance, the front desk, housekeeping and the restaurant managers for them to address with their respective staff. We do hope to see you again for another chance.

We stayed in the Hardesty suite. The room looks like a kingly chamber, tapestries on the walls, exposed opulent beams on the ceiling, and a kingly bed right out of a fairy tale! The grounds are magnificent with well manicured shrubs, statues peeking around the corners, and meandering pathway about the palace. The staff was attentive but not intrusive. We dined at the Copper mug and the food was exquisite and the service just as much. Roger, our waiter, was attentive and explained their French press coffee, which was delicious! It was my girlfriends birthday and we were brought out a piece of Birthday Cake which was a nice surprise! All in all I would highly recommend a stay at the castle for a special occasion.

Interesting and fun place to explore
We chose this on our way to tour Kenyon College. The grounds are large and the castle is really interesting. Great breakfast at the Copper Mug restaurant. We stayed in the McBeth cottage, which it turns out has its own hot tub out back on the deck. Super awesome to use that and not have to trek over to the pool. Check this place out!

Had to wait to check in was at 3:00 but no one was in the lobby and had to wait 20 minutes for someone to show up. Website said continental breakfast but none was provided. Overall stay was okay and restaurant food was excellent but expensive. Clean the gutters on the property! Saw lots of rot damage due to structures not being maintained.

Pretty nice
This place was amazing, beautiful, clean and spacious. Wish there was planned activities at the hotel once there because it is on a gravel road up a mountain and pretty far from anything local. For that reason once we checked in after canoeing we decided to eat at the restaurant on site. Had read the reviews and was to be very high rated. It took us 2 hours to get our food and menu is very limited and expensive. Staff was very friendly. I would definitely go back but would eat elsewhere before checking in.
Suites are horse stall type rooms with tons of space.

Landoll's Mohican Castle Lover
This place is beautiful and amazing! The room was clean and the beds were so cozy. The front office staff and restaurant employees were tremendously friendly and accommadating. The grounds are well maintained, nicely groomed and clean. The recreation center was perfect for the rainy day outside. Lastly, the restaurant menu and food were exceptional! Our stay was absolutely, thoroughly enjoyed!!!

Lovely place. Beautiful property. Gracious hospitality. I was traveling alone, so I found the large cavernous suite to be a bit dark/dusty/creepy when the sun went down. Outdated AC unit (loud!) and bedding.

Our trip to the Castle exceeded our expectations. From the thoughtful and courteous staff to the elegance and comfort of our Landoll Suite our stay was delightful. Photo opportunities abound as you first set eyes on the magnificent Castle. The grounds are beautiful yet naturalized and the fountain and waterfall as well as the statuary are a blend of elegance and whimsy. Our meals at the Copper Mug were absolutely delicious and the service friendly and efficient. I highly recommend staying at the Mohican Landoll Castle.

We never went. We got a call around 6:00 the evening before our scheduled two day stay. They had a staffing problem and could only accommodate us for one night and breakfast the next day. This was a surprise Valentine's gift for my husband. They certainly knew about their staffing problems more than 12 hours before we were going to leave. They wouldn't return my deposit but finally issued us a gift card good for 2 years. It was a hassle even getting the gift card. It took numerous calls to try to get this resolved. Their problem became my problem. Very unprofessional. Do not recommend.

The room and service was great. But we didn't have hot water, the room temp was ridiculously hot even when we turned the heat unit off. The room service breakfast was cold and the restaurant service was very slow. I didn't have a good experience and when I told the staff as I was checking out, she blew it off.
