Close to the airport
It was close to the airport, but it smelled like the cleaning person was smoking cigarettes while cleaning the room last. Things were old and needed to be upgraded or fixed. However, it was a one nighter and was sufficient for my stay.

5 min drive to Expo center and airport. Waffle house in the same parking lot. Area is a tad bit noisy, but still got a good night sleep. Room was to be expected for a Red Roof, nothing spectacular, was clean.

The room rate was a fair price. But the hotel is not as close as you would believe to airport.. That explains the fair price. There is a waffle house that is safe to walk to during daylight but i would caution a single female traveler. Long as you are aware its very isolated at night.

When we arrived it was around midnight. There were people on the balconies smoking pot. Walking past the rooms there was also people smoking pot inside of their rooms. Blankets appeared to have nail polish or some sort of marker drawings on it. then in the middle of the night there was bugs crawling on the walls in the bathroom! when I looked again it was ROACHES!!! We proceeding to gather our things and go check out. The receptionist seemed nice at first, then informed me they weren't going to refund me both nights I had booked. Then proceeded to tell me that they are not corporate so she couldn't give me a corporate number. Even though they are a franchise they are still supposed to be held to a certain standards.

I have stayed here a bunch and never had a problem until recently. It used to be the cleanest place you could get for the money, but the last 2 times I have stayed this week in 2 different rooms, I have found roaches. I don't do bugs. I won't be coming back.

Cockroach hotel.
We have stayed here many times and this was the unfortunately a bad experience. We went to our room and noticed a lot of cockroaches in the bathroom. We asked to trade rooms and was disappointed that that room was also infested.

Right price, right location. VERY small room, one of us had to sit on bed and lean back for other to pass in room. Poorly repaired damage to one wall. Hot water, decent shower. Overall pretty clean, no complaints there. 4-night stay, only saw housekeeping once. When we requested they come back later in the morning...we never saw them again. No clean towels, or any type of cleaning for entire stay.

When we checked in it was fine but the girl at the front really didn't know anything about Louisville. I think a front desk clerk should know her city so she can answer questions about it. There were roaches in the room, on the bed, on the table and floor. The sink and toilet were clogged. Really the only thing good about the room was the shower.
