Location
On the border of Switzerland and Italy, the city of Lugano is famous for its stunning location, rich cultural heritage and excellent restaurants and cafés. The city hosts many festivals throughout the year, including the “Luganomusica” festival every summer. MASI (the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland) (a 20-minute walk) hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions. A day trip on the Lago Lugano is a must, but if you do not have time take a walk along Lugano’s famous waterfront, and enjoy the breathtaking views over the lake. Then head to Piazza della Riforma, the heart of Lugano, and take a break at one of the many cafés that line the square.

If you prefer to cook at the apartment then try the local farmers’ market (Tuesdays and Fridays) in Via Carducci (20 mins walk). The perfect place to pick up the best ingredients.

For business travellers, the apartment is just an 11-minute walk from the Centro Esposizioni Lugano exhibition centre and an 18-minute walk from the Palazzo Dei Congressi Lugano.

The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 5 minutes away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 20-minute journey. Arriving by train? Lugano’s railway station is a 25-minute walk from the apartment.
