“The location is a perfect ten, but the staff was far from good. First of all, it took us 1.5 hours to check in, and we didn’t sense any effort to speed up the process. The Tan Hill has the potential to be amazing. It has everything going for it—except the staff, who failed to make our stay pleasant.”

The pub is dog and human friendly and is a popular spot for locals. Jack, the Bernese Mountain dog is regularly present as he belongs to Kenny, one of the owners. “This has to be the craziest room I've ever stayed in, in a good way. The floors were sloped the furniture was sloping in line with the floors. Bed comfy amd bathroom was nice and clean. If you are after a quirky stay then this place is for you.”
