“Lovely hotel, great nights sleep - you’ll wake up thinking it’s the middle of the night as the curtains are properly black out!
The only negatives were the cleaner almost hounding us out of the room on day one whilst we were getting ready and the lack of room clean / top up of tea etc on day two! ”
“We cannot fault the service staff food and the location excellent it's just the overall finish needs some renovation to the outside finish,it's a bit tired but all that aside we enjoyed our stay staff were all very polite and helpful great. ”
“This is a perfect hotell if you want to travel by train from St Davids station. Since we were staying for so long time as 11 days it would have been nice to have breakfast a little later than 7-9 every day. We had the room on top an since it was warm and no fresh condition we have to have the roof window open all time and then it became noisy with trains and barking dogs in the nights. Overall it was a very pleasant stay , nice staff and ofcourse a very good breakfast”
“Very lovely stay in Exeter for 2 nights at the start of our Devon/Cornwall trip. Friendly staff! Great spa with a deal for hotel guests. The breakfast was wonderful, too. Right in the middle of everything. We will stay here again without even looking elsewhere if we come back this way. We loved Exeter!”
“You get what you pay for but no complaints at all. The staff we came across were friendly and helpful. Our room was basic and clean but had what we needed. Breakfast is self service . Good choice and great views across the valley. It’s a good 10 minutes walk from the train station, all up hill so a taxi may be needed if you mobility is not too good. ”
“We were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the comfort in the rooms. Both the bedroom and the public rooms were very clean and well maintained. The breakfast and evening meals were superb and we did enjoy having a freshly cooked breakfast brought to our table rather than a buffet style self service where the food had been hanging around. The overall impression was of happy staff creating a pleasant atmosphere”
