âSuch a lovely hotel located right on the beach, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to be slightly outside of Hiriketiya. Due to its location it is very quiet and peaceful. There are sun loungers on the beach as well as by the pool. It is super easy to get into the main town by tuktuk or a 30 minute walk. The staff are lovely and so attentive if you need a bite to eat I would recommend their pizza which are delicious. We loved our stay here and would 100% come back! â

âVery nice hosts, super service minded! The house is close to the Dickwella beach, on the opposite side of the main road. 2 miles away is the awesome surf beach Hirikitya. Our room was spacious with a large new bathroom and efficient AC. If you like Sri Lankan food, ask to swap the continental breakfast to Sri Lankan! The house can be a bit tricky to find, look for a sign after the ATM.â

The dinner was good, but far from great. The curryâs are way to salty. Same as for the breakfast (donât try the chocolate pancakes).

âFabulous boutique hotel, rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Food is excellent, we had breakfasts and an evening meal. Food was well prepared and presented by the Chef. All the staff are friendly and very respectful.

âStayed for two weeks in September 2023. For starters, the host family at Talalla Freedom are wonderful. Helpful, friendly, adjusted to my food allergies, went over and beyond. Rs 250 for a pot of fresh tea. The pool is lovely and well kept, the view and access to Talalla beach is phenomenal (as long as you don't have any mobility issues. Beds are Sri Lanka firm but comfy. It is about 10-15 minutes to get to hiriketiya road where most of the shops/resturants are.
Its calm and tranquil at this place, away from the busy scene at hiriketiya road yet not to far to get there when you want.
