âLia at the front desk saved the trip honestly. A lot of the trails by Big Bear Lake are closed until early September, but Lia provided a list of trails, guides, restaurant recommendations.
We ended up doing the kayaking excursion with (I think Caitlyn was her name) and hiked 2 of the trails recommended. The pool was a good temp, the kayaking was fun and informative. Nice shower. The upgrade to the balcony with the view of the lake is worth it. Yummy restaurant at this hotel too! We also walked...
âThis lodge was quiet, off the main hustle and bustle, exactly what we wanted. A safe retreat to relax. It was super close to the village. The staff was always nice and attentive. The room was cozy with a soft bed. â
âSpoke to one of the locals and she advised us to "lock our car" and referred to the area as a "ghetto". The beds were comfortable though and the AC was working.â
âMy room was spacious and comfortable. Lots of available in-room amenities: coffee maker, fridge, iron & ironing board, tv, WiFi, microwave. The shower worked well and the towels were plush. The bed was very comfortable. I sat out on my deck every morning and had coffee to the pleasant sounds of the mountains and forest. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a very nice stay.â
âOpened the front door and found a dead mouse on the mat. Talk about a bad first impression. This place is old and obviously not rented much. Bathroom door used a gate latch for a door handle. This is a one and done for us. â
âLoved how clean it was, and the bed was super comfortable especially after all our hiking! The fact that its perfectly between Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead was extremely convenient!â
âI booked 2 weeks ahead of time for this cabin, it's cute and very tiny and the area around was nice very tight road. I got a message on my way the day of to the cabin and it said there was no power and they didn't have an update when there would be power so to check Edison. I check Edison , they were with out power already a week at least before I even showed up. I had no where to go it was freezing up there in the mountains to sleep with no heat or to not even have light it's pitch black out...
