Cape Home overlooking Bucks Harbor and Pettigrew Point

  • Nestled in Machiasport, this delightful house offers a cozy retreat for guests. The bedroom features a comfortable full bed, perfect for a restful night's sleep. With a charming living room and a sofa bed for additional space, this adorable property is ideal for a small group looking for a pleasant stay. Experience the magic of Machiasport at our lovely house.

    Currently we are renting the house as a one bedroom as we have shut off the two upstairs bedroom for the winter. The house was built without direct heat on the second floor. Opening the upstairs is negotiable with a fee to cover the extra heat.

    The house was built in 1949 by our grandparents and it has been in our family ever since. Two years ago the house was extensively renovated to include new windows/siding and roof.

We had a wonderful stay! The location was beautiful and convenient, and Troy was very responsive and helpful throughout our visit. The property was a great place to relax and enjoy the area. We would happily stay again!

It was truly what i was looking for with a fantastic view with an undeniable old world vibe that i absolutely love as a mainer. Didnt bring my pup on this trip but after this trip i will definitely be looking to bring her along the next time. It was a fantastic stay and a fantastic location for anyone that is looking to be away from the overly crowded tourist areas. Cant wait to re visit the area.

House is perfectly situated in the woods and close to the water. Amazing for escaping city life and isolating for a while. Host is very gracious and made sure I had everything I needed.

The property needs to be finished. The portion open was the downstairs. The oven was dirty as well as part of the refrigerator. It looks previous clients had dogs and they allowed them on the furniture. The place was ok.
