This was supposed to be an extended stay of approximately 24 days, per our agreement the property was to be cleaned half way through the stay. Upon this cleaning, the cottage was found in much disarray with the double sink, both full of empty alcoholic cans and bottles. I was told these were consumed the day before cleaning and wasn’t time to remove. There were cartons of alcoholic beverages to be consumed lined up on the floor. The service dog as explained in this review was never mentioned to me or even asked upon renting if the property accepted dogs. A dog bowl was see upon cleaning with food in it and an empty water bowl. Upon asking if the guest was housing a pet, she responded yes, an emotional support animal, not SERVICE animal. The cottage is small and quaint with limited room for roaming and little or no yard. My general rule as per on my listing, no pets. I have pictures of multiple pairs of shoes and clothing stacks, why would I not think more than one person was staying there? The cottage will accommodate 4 guests, my complaint was that the reservation was made for 1. I have pictures to stand by my asking her to leave. I gave her a great deal, and the cleaning was scheduled. Upon talking with VRBO, it was my decision whether or not to refund her money which she never ask about. Due to the circumstances and extended cleaning that had to be done, I chose no, as extra expenses had to be paid. I would NOT rent to her again!

Thank you for your review, the description does describe the quaint and coziness of the cottage. The Cozy Cottage On Main does stay very busy and it’s been on Airbnb for years. I just added it to VRBO last fall. Upon reading your review, perhaps you should choose a newer built choice, my guests as a whole love the uniqueness of The Cozy Cottage on Main.

I’m sorry you found the cottage disappointing. The caption is “cozy” and the listing explains everything perfectly. I have never had such a disappointing review so in the future I suggest you pay more attention to the description of the property before booking. If you had trouble with anything your responsibility is to contact me as I am just a text or phone call away. A hotel experience might better to be to your liking.
