The hotel is under renovation and we were never told that. It was like staying in a room, no access to lobby no where to sit and enjoy a 4 star hotel. Very disappointed

The Princess Plaza was a disappointment. Hotel is under internal & external modifications. It is a mess- chaos! I was in room 4069. Great size room but the base boards were full of dust as if they have never been cleaned, bath tub / shower had black mold! Hall way smelled and it was dark! Hall Light only came on once you started walking (safety concern for me)! Currently check in area is very small & a chaos. For a 4 star hotel it felt like a one star. Additionally looking out the window from room you see METAL- STEEL bars! At 0900 you start hearing the loud drill,, hammer, & other construction equipment. At 0945 am - my last day at hotel, I hear a knock! I was schocked-suprised - it was house keeping! I reminded the lady check out is by 12;00 pm. PLEASE the stay was not free. I really deserve a refund!!! I HAVE PICTURES

Property undergoing renovations, using alternate check in location. Staff were great, room was nice although lacking in convenient electrical outlets. Bathroom lacking - weak toilet flush, glass panel not secured to bathtub so serious leakage onto floor during shower, bathroom door damaged and could not be closed, paint peeling over tub, rough patches where things used to be secured to the wall. Breakfast was ok, but hot food only warm at best. Maybe because in temporary location due to construction. Good location for walking to most tourist areas in 5 to 15 minutes and in good proximity to bus and metro stations. Good shopping in area. Reasonably quiet at night.

Hotel pictures show a very nice and cozy hotel area. However, they do not mention the hotel is currently being remodeled. We could hear the construction noise in the morning and there is nothing to do in the lobby, since it’s under construction.

Las habitaciones muy buenas, 3 líneas de metro en la esquina. Zona de almacenes y restaurantes en la zona. Desafortunadamente el hotel está en remodelación en su totalidad y no estaban disponibles todos los salones, y los ascensores que estaban disponibles no daban abasto. Regresaré a este hotel la próxima ocasión en Madrid.

No lo recomiendo para nada. No me ayudaron cuando desapareció mi toalla de pelo y luego olvidamos una bolsa de cosas que compramos y cuando llame para recuperarla me dijeron que buscarían y me llamarían y Nadir fue para hacerlo y dar seguimiento yo tuve que volver a llamar y solo para que me dijeran que no estaba. Pésimo!!!! Me pareció de quinta!

Location and view were awesome! As far as the property. It was being remodeled so it was confusing to find the entrance. The tile in the bathroom was coming loose below my feet The AC did not work at all. The control knob did not adjust the temperature. I even looked up how to use it cause I thought I was doing something wrong. But it was malfunction. So temperature was very uncomfortable. The toilet paper holder literally fell off the wall as I was grabbing another roll The TV remote only worked at a certain angle The Vending machine ‘card option’ was inoperative. I even asked for help thinking I was doing it wrong, but the person working there said it was broken. I usually don’t complain about hotel rooms. But also never get 4 star hotels. For the price I paid for 3 nights it was very disappointing. I have pictures and video of some of the above. I really wanted to treat myself but ended up being disappointed Good thing Madrid was an awesome city!
