Thames Riviera Hotel
Hotellet ligger fint vid Themsen. Dock nära en trafikerad väg. Trevlig trädgård med utsikt över floden. Omgivningarna längs floden är fina för en promenad. Det går snabbt att åka till Windsor och det går bussar dit i närheten av hotellet. Familjerummet vi hade var en stor säng och bäddsoffa. Det fanns ingen air kondition och det var väldigt varmt i rummet. Hotellet hade dock ställt dit en fläkt.

Thank you for taking the time to write - we always appreciate feedback. Regarding the hotel, we are currently consulting designers with a view to refurbishing the hotel at the end of the year/beginning of next.

Hotel nära Thamsen, Engelsk idyll. Bra kommunikation till alla byar och städer. Jättebra personal. Trevliga!

The hotel is next to a busy road that connects Maidenhead to Slough. Although the bridge, river and Maidenhead rowing club are pleasant to look at. If you cross the road and walk by the river there is a children’s play park and a cabin which serves food all day. Across from there Boulders lock. The hotel has changed the grass garden to a slabbed patio. One side looks onto parking lot. Could do with putting some potted trees or greenery to hide. I stayed in an executive room that was a good sized room, nicely decorated. The website states dressing gown and slippers in the room. There was none and when I checked at reception they told me they have never provided these and would remove from site. Bathroom looked clean but on closer examination the floor wasn’t clean and there were yellow stains on the outside of toilet. There were only 2 teabags and 4 milks for a 2 night stay. At reception I asked for more and they handed them to me there and then. Which was fine but offering to have them put in the room is good customer service. The small touches make a difference. I wasn’t asked if I would like breakfast in the morning That said when I ordered a coffee at the bar the barman bought it out to me on the patio. Food was fine but don’t expect gourmet. It was ample, filling and timely. A little inconsistency on customer service but overall nice pleasant staff. A big minus, no elevator. If you struggle with stairs or are in a wheelchair do not book this hotel.

Overnight Stay
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Elderly father found room too cold. Evening meal OK. Breakfast- good selection although no coffee machine due to breakdown. Had to ask for decaf. eventually found 2 sachets. No marmalade. Cooked breakfast kept in food warmers heated from bottom resulting in food going cold quickly. Would be better with proper heated serving trolley. Hotel is undergoing refurb. Dining/breakfast room & bar area needs more atmosphere. That said for a 3 star hotel it met the requirements for an overnight stay.

Okay as budget hotel
An okay budget hotel. My room was very cold - heating didn’t work properly - the thermostat may have been set too low. Very small room with a view of the road (but I imagine some rooms have a river view). Service in the restaurant is terrible but the food is okay. My room wasn’t serviced. Reception staff are lovely though. There is a car park but it gets very full.

First room I was offered the bed was not made and room not cleaned. Second room the generators for the air conditioning etc were right below my bedroom window.

Birthday long weekend stay
Our room was in the lodge adjacent to the main hotel building. Standard double room which looked as if had been refurbished. Lovely & clean with lovely clean refurbed bathroom with walk in shower. Breakfast good with continental choice & full English breakfast buffet style.

Comfy with lovely staff
Very friendly and helpful staff. There was a Wi-Fi problem in my room, which prevented connection to my ‘phone and tablet and also affected the TV. It was almost 2300, but receptionist came to my room to investigate, attempted to solve problem then called Maintenance. As the problem could not be found, he moved me to another room. I was only staying to collect family from Heathrow early the next morning. However, when their flight was delayed by 6 hours, hotel manager said I could keep the room as long as I needed past checkout time. So I had a very nice breakfast and returned to bed! This, recently renovated hotel was perfect for my needs and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating.

Great Location. Tired and shabby decor Holes in curtains, stains on carpet, internal door alarms broken and beeping all night. Corridors really run down.No fridge in room. Front desk miserable and sullen Evening meal was very nice and restaurant staff attentive and pleasant.

It’s ok.
The bath plug was wouldn’t come out. The dial of the plug was greasy. The towel rail was stone cold There is a gap around the door. I had to lay the towel Dow to stop the draft. The fire door was propped open whilst people had a smoke in the evening. And morning at 7 am. I had to close the door at 11pm. There was out of date info in room. I had dinner and attempted to claim the 20 percent discount and was told it shouldn’t have been in the folder.

Felt like an inconvenience
Left a message with hotel to say it would be a late check in around midnight. Arrived at 23.56 to be left standing in reception for 20 minutes. I rang the hotel, checked in the bar, checked the loos but no one around. After a 15 hour day and only 7 hours before having to get up this is the last thing I needed. In the end I went behind the counter and found my room card already prepared so just filled the form in and went to bed. When I mentioned it in the morning I was told it was tough, the night manager was on his security round so it is what is. When I said well maybe leave a note on the desk or carry a mobile so guests can ring on arrival the receptionist just looked away and carried on with their duties. I really felt like an inconvenience.

The location was excellent. The room/bathroom where in need of a overall. Frayed carpets.The bedding was clean and fresh.But the bases of the bed were dirty and again frayed.Only noticed this because they were exposed and not dressed.The toilet roll holder constantly falling of the wall. And the shower sprayed out in every direction!! And if you wanted to relax with a movie on the T.V dont bother limited channels. Last night not even ITV available but was thus morning.

Thames break needed.
Good size room and very good view of the river. Very quite despite being close to the road. The room was ok, the door could not be fully open because of the return catch. The mattress was very soft and had not side states so had to keep from falling off.

We stayed for one night and found the room to be very nice however when thing started to go go wrong we got a very different view of the hotel. When upstairs starting making excessive noise at 4am and we tried to ring reception we found that the room telephone would not work so had to call with our own phone. After a long wait with the phone just ringing and we complained about the noise we were told it would be checked out and sorted. Nothing was done so by about 6am we decided to pack up and leave and complain again in person to reception to find the reception unmanned. So on the whole we would say this hotel is very nice until you have a complaint in which case your basically on your own to sort it out.
