Thank you very much for your feedback. We deeply regret that you were not able to enjoy your stay in our house. It is very important to us that our guests feel comfortable and we always strive to offer a comfortable and well-maintained atmosphere and to respond immediately to any problems and requests if it is within our means. Unfortunately, you experienced a very harsh storm during your stay. We can imagine that such a situation feels frightening, especially if you are staying on your own. However, seeing that some roofs were completely flooded and many houses were damaged during the storm, in our case the house remained relatively unscathed as only a little water got in. During the summer months there is a severe water shortage on the entire island Mallorca, which can lead to falling water pressure in private homes. Since it was more serious this August than in previous years, we reacted immediately and were able to remedy the situation by installing our own permanent water reservoir. We are also sorry that the facilities in the house did not meet your standards. We try to describe the facilities in great detail; there are photos of all the rooms and the garden to give you as accurate an impression as possible. The oil heater is no longer in operation. As part of our switch to renewable forms of energy, the burner was switched off. We are surprised that it smells of oil; we couldn't detect it during a check in September. In your description you give the impression that the garden is dominated by wild cats and burglars and that there are vermin in the house. We would therefore like to point out that a vermin inspection takes place twice a year and that we have a current certificate from July 23rd. Of course, insects flying into the house can happen, especially if food or dog food is left out on the floor for a long time. We will install insect protection on windows and doors to prevent the influx of insects, especially mosquitoes. Cats (not all of which are wild) visit us occasionally, they have a feeding station nearby, the residents and visitors to our town are very fond of animals and extremely caring in this regard. However, the property’s location so close to nature makes it impossible to keep all animals away. At this point we would like to reassure you that we take criticism and complaints very seriously and always aim to resolve them immediately. We are therefore saddened by the fact that our property was unable to satisfy you despite our effort to provide clear descriptions as well as our personal efforts to ensure your well-being.
