Unfortunately the property is a little dated and needs some upgrades. This is particularly related to the key card system as the keys don’t work if they go near your phone. The staff were friendly on the whole and willing to help. The breakfast was lovely and the view was appreciated when eating in the restaurant.

We had a one night visit on a Saturday in February. Parking was very convenient at the hotel. We found the room clean but a little compact and we were disappointed that there wasn’t any chairs in the room so if you want to sit down you could only use the bed. We didn’t dine so I’m can’t comment here. The hotel was busy ad seemed well maintained.

Only one thing the restaurant times, when your in at 9.15pm and you wave the girl waitress over and she decides to clear the table instead of serving you, and then to finally get hold of some one els for them to say they have stopped serving, we have a drink and they serve another table with food. Not happy. Until then I would say perfect hotel, staff friendly

Being told that the restaurant has stopped serving when other tables are still being served can understandably be frustrating.It seems like the timing of the restaurant's closing and the communication between the waitstaff and the guests could be improved. This is a really well located hotel in central Manchester. It was clean & comfortable, the tea making facilities in the room were welcomed. However, it does suffers from street noise but once the teams stop at midnight, it's fairly quiet.

Short stay over to see Depeche Mode.
Nice functional hotel close to Manchester Piccadilly station. Just a short stay over to attend Manchester Arena. Hotel was as expected as we had stayed at Mercure hotels previously with the expectations of a good hotel and facilities.

On arrival paid for an upgrade £21. View was good but thats it. Room wasnt as clean as it should have been. Part of skirting board hanging off. Bed sheet not tucked in. Window frames disgusting with dirt. Lamp didnt work, USB charging points by bed didn't work. Will not stay here again

Looked fancy when you walked in but the rooms were quite average. I read reviews that said it had a refurb, but the refurb in the rooms was clearly just a lick of paint and furniture painted a different colour. Check in was quite lengthy. We had breakfast included which had a great selection.

Security issue.
Check in was simple and the room was basic which was fine for what we needed. The door didnt shut on its own so you had to fully force it closed, same with the bathroom door....which was not idea until we came back after breakfadt and realise the main door was wide open after housekeeping had visited. Reported it to the front desk and they were more worried about the condition of the door than the fact it was left open.

On arrival, £24 for 24 hours parking... not great really. Location is central, which is great. However not so great when your offered drugs or asked for spare change on every street corner is not great. Got in shower to discover 1 towel between 2 of us... there was a hand towel but it was filthy with makeup stains. Got out the shower - Hair dryer doesnt work.. staff were apologetic and replaced. The room - we booked a privilege room. Doesnt look anything like the photos and if you like a good nights sleep this hotel is absolutely not for you. The matresses as others have mentioned, are like slabs of concrete. Very dated. We arrived back to the hotel after a nighr at the AO arena only to find we had to ring a bell and wait to be let back in 😂.. Lastly, the good old full English - Not buffet as we were told. We had to order. Bacon - completely inedible as in dog treat... Eggs - snotty, didnt fancy food poisoning so also non edible So.-. All in all - completely avoid.
