Relax on one of the decks with a cold beverage after a nice day at the beach, grill some steaks or order in, then get ready to check out downtown with plenty of pubs, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment for the whole family. Manistee offers transportation! Don't want to drive or walk? Give them a call 6am 4-6pm! Adults only trip? Manistee has it covered. Check out the nearby Casino, multiple golf courses, fishing charters, Crystal Mountain, local breweries & more! Have a blast while having the peace of mind you picked a great location in a great neighborhood! Enjoy a fire outside at the end of the day with the gas fireplace or curl up inside for a night of Netflix or family board games/Wii. It’s a very nice location quite everything well maintained. Very easy to access with a 20 foot boat but the driveway is full. But if need to you can park on the street. Fishing was good not great but good easy access to boat ramp and they are very well maintained.

Great location, cute house, we enjoyed our stay. If you are a full family it might be a little tight for more than a one or two night stay but for two on a budget it was perfect, we could walk to food or shops and of course the beach.

Manistee vacation

We loved the house. It was small but fully equiped kitchen. Check in was easy with the door code. Crystal was very responsive when I needed to adk a question. We had a wonderful time and loved the fromt porch very much.

The location was great, able to walk to everything, parking good, keyless entry great, hosts wonderful. The house itself was just ok. The downstairs was adequate, kitchen met our needs, it had good AC downstairs as we went during a hot and humid time so we made sure we would have AC but… the upstairs needed a lot of work. The primary bedroom was large enough but the window AC was right at your head. The bedroom that had two twin beds was way too hot even though there was AC it accumulated water which needed to be drained at least once in the middle of the night in order for it to work. After two days we decided we couldn’t sleep in the beds and went to the living room which was much more comfortable. We did let the host know about the heat and they did send over a box fan which was appreciated but didn’t do much to force the cool air upstairs. The bathroom had hot water but entire house could use an upgrade as pics do not match the actual look. There was no storage for clothes and only a few hangers. Plenty of towels for beach though. My suggestion to the hosts is to pack your bag for a week and go stay there. The issues are evident. No need for huge chairs upstairs as the rooms are needed for luggage. It was clean enough with new carpet but again you may check on your cleaner as the fans that were there were so filthy that they weren’t usable and don’t look under beds. We had a fine time but this is just another Manistee Vrbo that is expensive but disappointing.

Manistee Fun

We had a hiccup on our side (Covid). I didn’t go but the two others in my group went. 100% 5 stars go to the Host for offering guidance and clear communication navigating us through. The host was very quick into responding to all my “what if” senecios. The host saved the day!! Thanks so much. I saw there was a gravel bike race coming up so I may rebook.

Wonderful stay

Owners were communicated well with us and answered our questions quickly. Added special items to our stay that made it extra special. It was in a perfect for the race we ran on Saturday. Nice quiet neighborhood. Close to the beach and downtown. Highly recommend.

Great Getaway

The Front Porch Cottage was a great little getaway for us! It was very clean and was exactly as it was advertised. It was in a quiet neighborhood and was very close to the beach and quaint downtown of Manistee. Communication with the host was excellent! We really enjoyed our stay!

Comforts of home.

Laundry, on site. Furniture was comfortable and brought the cottage vibe. Kitchen had all the basics and sparkling clean. It was like having a cottage vibe furnished apartment. Bath is cute and has all you need but tub and surround could use an update. Lots of hot water with decent pressure. Quiet neighborhood, porch felt more private than I originally thought it would. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice property - is as advertised

Overall, this was a nice property that was as advertised. Pro's - nicely decorated/funished, living rooms & master bedroom very comfortable, clean, updated carpet throughout home, 2 porches available for use, convenient location within Manistee. Con's - portable air conditioner upstairs struggled to keep that floor of the home cool, no ceiling fans to assist in keeping cool - only 2 portable tabletop fans provided, hot water ran out after 2 showers. Suggestions - add ceiling fans to the bedrooms, as was done in the living room, paint/stain both porches to freshen up worn exterior, add ice cube trays to freezer. Overall a nice property inside, but small additions would make it top-notch.

Great Location

We enjoyed our short visit. There were 4 of us so plenty of sleeping space but kitchen was very small. Only providing 2 chairs. A couple of folding chairs would have been helpful. Didnt get the bar stools!

Family Vacation

The house was very cute! Perfect for our family :) The deck was especially nice, with a couple porch swings, chairs and a fireplace. The balcony was great too! I loved the decor in the house, gave it a nice beach vibe. We loved that it was close to everything too, especially the beach!

Nice little family getaway

We very much enjoyed our trip and the special little touches that this home offered. The owners certainly take a lot of pride in their property! The only negative factor for us was the proximity to the road with our little ones. We typically like to have a lot of outdoor time in the evenings, but that was a little more difficult with the yard space being right up on the road. Obviously there's nothing the owner can do about that- just something to note. I was overjoyed that they thought about keeping a baby gate available in the home and it was perfect to keep my toddler from the steep stair case! Overall, we loved the cottage and will be back for another trip!
