The Brick House at Alderwood Resort is the perfect lakefront retreat on the MW Chain of 10 Lakes with 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms featuring plenty of space for adults to relax and kids to play. THINGS TO KNOW

‱ Boat parking is available at the home's 2 piers.
‱ Car/trailer parking in circle driveway for approximately 8 cars and in 2 car garage
‱ We provide a supply of hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, paper towel, garbage bags, toilet paper, and kleenex.

LAKE: Alder Lake is a 264-acre full rec lake on the Manitowish Chain of 10 Lakes. All 10 lakes are navigable by boat from May through September. The Brick House has 2 piers to park your boats. The nearest boat launches are on Wild Rice Lake (free) and at Greer's Pier Marina (small fee). Waterskiing hours, towing a person, and personal watercraft (PWC) permitted between 9:00am to 7:00pm.

ACTIVITIES VIA WATER
Swim from The Brick House's piers. Kayak or rowboat on Alder Lake. Rent a pontoon through Greer's Pier Marina. Boat to restaurants like Aberdeen, Pea Patch, Little Bohemia. Stop at Greer's Pier for a cocktail and shopping. Go fishing, or hire a fishing guide. Boat to Little Star Beach. All 10 lakes on the Manitowish Chain are navigable by boat from May through September.

ACTIVITIES VIA LAND
Take a walk on rural Alder Lake Road. Rent a bike from Coontail Sports and explore the area's world famous bike trails, like WinMan Trails and Heart of Vilas County Bike Trail. Walk to Cranberry Square gift shop and learn about cranberry farms in the neighborhood. In the fall, see cranberry harvest "the world's most beautiful harvest”. Within a 1 hour-radius explore Minocqua, Eagle River, Lake Superior, the Porcupine Mountains, UP of Michigan's waterfalls, Stormy Kromer, and St. Croix Factory. The Brick House is a scenic 10-minute drive from Manitowish Waters, 30 minutes from Minocqua, and 45 minutes from Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Nice property!

We made the best for snowmobiling, looks like we missed all the snow! We ended up trailering up to Mercer and rode north from there. Trails were great. The house was really nice n plenty of room with all the amenities needed. Thank you!

Endless Activities

We had people of all ages and noone at any point was bored! The family rooms are large enough to accommodate quite a few people and there are also plenty of rooms if people want to split up in smaller groups. We had fun sledding and truly enjoyed the views in winter! We're hoping to be able to return in other seasons as well. Wonderful location and very well kept house! Becca was responsive and accommodating, thank you!!

Perfect Northwoods Getaway

We had an amazing stay at the Brick House! Becca was a fantastic host, always quick to respond and very helpful. The house itself was very roomy and yet cozy at the same time. My mother uses a wheelchair and had no problem navigating the house. The house sits right on the lake. It was such a beautiful view. The two docks were great to tie up our fishing boat and fish off of. The provided kayaks were a ton of fun! We definitely hope to return next fall! I would highly recommend the Brick House for your stay in Manitowash Waters!

We had a great time at the Brick House. The communication with the management was also responsive and polite. Everything was exactly what we wanted and more! Enjoyed stay. Extremely quite and peaceful. Beautiful setting on lake. House was very spacious and extremely clean. Two docks with room for boats. Lots of fire wood supplied for gatherings around large fire pit. Plenty of outside seating to enjoy outdoors .

Memorable Alder Lake Vacation

Excellent vacation for us and our visiting family members from California. The house and property were all we hoped it would be from what we saw online. Up North Get Away

Our group loved the Brick House! It had a lot of room and the view was amazing! The house was very clean and had a great location. We had no issues and the group had a great weekend going to the Fall Art Tour in the area. Looking forward to using this house in the future.

Beautiful home in a gorgeous setting

We just returned from a long weekend at the Brickhouse, and couldn’t be happier! Becca was wonderful to work with, and the property was absolutely perfect! The house is perfectly appointed and cozy while being large enough for everyone to have their own space when needed. The lakefront location, available rowboat, and sandy entry into the lake made it very easy to entertain our kids (ages 10, 12, and 14). The wifi and smart tv kept everyone happy on rainy days, but with the gorgeous location and many local activities we weren’t inside much during the day. Everyone had a wonderful weekend, due in large part to the Brickhouse and the many amenities there. We highly recommend!

Spacious clean home on sandy frontage

Very spacious home for everyone to be able to get quiet time if needed. Nice sandy lake frontage. The lake this home is on doesn’t have a lot of traffic on it but if you would like more action you could head to some of the other lakes on the chain. This home is very clean and has pretty much everything you would need for your stay. I am very fussy and would definitely rent this home again.
