âWe visited at the end of April when this hotel was still under construction. It was a minor inconvenience as we paid for a âgarden viewâ when the view was a complete construction zone. They did upgrade our room size because of this. That being said, the restaurant was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. We stayed 2 nights and ate at the restaurant both nights. Their buffet breakfast is also amazing. Seeing that the hotel is no longer under construction, I would definitely stay here...
âWe loved our stay in the small chalet apartment at Hotel Baren! We had an amazing view of the mountains and could hear the bells on the sheep just down the road⊠and see the bunnies playing just outside our window by Hotel Edelweiss. The free breakfast was AMAZING and we had dinner there, too - also delicious. The staff was very attentive and helpful. We wouldnât hesitate to stay here again!â
âThe family room was perfect for our family of 4. Kids loved the bunk beds with privacy curtains, the arcade in the room was lots of fun and the views of the lauterbrunnen valley and mountains were spectacular. The location of the hotel was extremely convenient to the train station. The pool area was fantastic and we just wished it was open later than 8pmâ

âHelt fantisltisk personal, sĂ„ hjĂ€lpsamma med allt frĂ„n utflykter till att fĂ„ den mat som vi önskade. Reste med tvĂ„ barn pĂ„ 10 & 11 Ă„r som inte Ă„t alla mat pĂ„ hotellet, men personalen var vĂ€ldigt hjĂ€lpsamma med att sĂ€tta ihop bra barnmenyer Ă„t dem.

âWhile the room and building was full of character and history, it was also well-equipped with plenty of space and storage for travellers. The common room for guests had snacks, tea, and coffee, as well as a large fridge. The location is great, a few minutes walk to Interlaken West station and very close to a convenience store. There's a bakery just next to the building and the Interlaken Flagship shop is just down the road.â
âWe stayed on the top floor with our guest from home country, Japan. We had some concerns about bed bugs based on past reviews, but we didnât see any signs and had great time with fantastic view.
Some tips: there is no elevator and no dedicated parking place.â
âVery nice place and very kind front desk staff that was very helpful. The room was alright and the breakfast was great. The only thing that could be worth clarifying in the hotel description is that the hotel is only reachable via cable car since the hotel is located right up by the moutains. We had a great overall experience and it was fun having to take the cable car up to the mountains, it just took us a while to figure out how to get to the hotel since the GPS couldn't find it.â

âWilderswil is an fantastic place to stay - close to Grindewald, Interlaken... everywhere. Beds were very comfy, and room spacious and nice. Breakfast was good and the staff also very kind. The only bad I have to say is that it was a lot of insects/bugs in our room, and that the room was very cold. It felt like our blankets were wet because it was so moisty.â
