Heavens Gate nära Little Switzerland och Blue Ridge Parkway

Heavens Gate är en timmerstuga som erbjuder 4 sovrum och 4 badrum. 1 kung, 2 drottning, 2 tvillingar och en tvilling tvilling ut barnsängar (mycket trevligt). Stugan sover 10 bekvämt och om du lägger några sovsäckar för små barn kabinen har stora rum för att rymma de små campare. Det finns en stor vedeldad spis och stora glasfönster för att visa bergen och utanför lövverk. Varje rum i kabinen är privat. Med kockar kök och granit bänkskivor, fullt utrustade. Du behöver bara ta med dina matvaror. Alla sängkläder och handdukar kvalitet tillhandahålls. Vi erbjuder även handtvål, soppåsar, tvätt och skålen baljor, och ett utbud av toalettpapper för de första dagarna. Tillgång till stugan är lätt, asfalterad väg hela vägen till stugan. Ligger bara 3 miles från staden Little Schweiz och 3 miles från Blue Ridge Parkway. Du kommer att finna att även om denna stuga är mycket privat finns det många saker att göra inom femton minuter från stugan. Utforska Blue Ridge Parkway bara 3 miles från stugan, är Gem gruv precis runt hörnet och Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls och Linville Caverans är bara en 30 minuters bilresa. Det finns också ett område strax nedanför stugan som erbjuder tre öring dammar och picknickområde direkt på en forsande bäck. Ibland kommer du att se kalkon, hjort, tvättbjörnar, fåglar, svart björn.
Efter en lång dag av aktiviteter njuta av ett dopp i den täckta badtunna som ser ut över Blue Ridge Mountains. Kvällarna är i allmänhet svalt så känn dig fri att bygga en brand i eldstaden ligger bredvid badtunnan. När det kalla vädret avkastning och snön börjar falla du kanske vill prova skidbackarna eller snö slangar. Wolf Ridge handlar om en trettio minuters bilresa eller så kan du bege dig norrut till Beech eller Sugar Mountain ca 45 minuter från stugan.

You can’t beat the views from the back deck, the end of the driveway and when exiting the community! The house had everything we needed and had lots of amenities to relax and entertain. We’d definitely stay here again!

Disappointed in cleanliness on arrival. Dirty laundry in washing machine, sheets in dryer, drawers in bathrooms and under kitchen sink dirty; not cleaned. Some light bulbs not working. One roll of toilet paper per bathroom for a 2 week stay (this was noted BUT seems really poor for a 2 week stay). Lights around spa did not work. Spa lift arm broken. Spa jets only 1/2 working. Lighters for firepit not functional. Windows not cleaned well. Had to buy hand soap, bath mats, nights lights, hangers for closets, etc. "Cheap" towels and not enough towels. Mattress on lower bedroom bed had been flipped to conceal mold stain.Generally disappointed in what was provided considering the cost of the rental. We have stayed at a number or VRBO rentals and this one fell far short of our usual experience. It's a shame because the property itself is very nice and in a beautiful (albeit very remote) location. Small things make a big difference and the small things were missing here.As an example, providing one roll of toilet paper per bathroom for a 2 week rental of nearly 5000 seems just cheap to me. Seriously, what does toilet paper cost?I don't know why these things were as they were, BUT i understand the property is for sale. Could that be why the broken items were not addressed?

Nice deck with fantastic views. House comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Good communication from vrbo and management staff. Really enjoyed our stay. Only complaint -- house could have been cleaner, especially master bathroom shower which had a a lot of mold on floor and lower walls.

Good house to get away.

Awesome place to stay at if you want to get away. The hot tub off of the house is great especially at night when heavy fog is blowing through. You cant get bored with pool, ping pong, and foosball in the garage. It is away from the couple towns around but only like 25 minutes away. We went to Carrage House in Burnsville and the food there was amazing. Nothing plain or boring there and really the same for Live Oak Gastropub in Spruce Pine.

Thanksgiving trip

Our family took a vacation this year the week of Thanksgiving and it was one of our favorites! The house was beautiful, roomy, and the game room and jacuzzi were a hit! The neighborhood was fantastic. There is nothing bad I can say about our stay…except they need a new can opener 😉. Check in was a breeze and the property mangers were super fast with responses. Highly recommend!

Great location with an amazing view.

We annually travel to Spruce Pine/Little Switzerland area to visit with the wife's family. Normally it is just she and I. This year we took all the kids and grandkids. Everyone enjoyed the cabin and there was plenty of room for everyone. Had to call property once due to a breaker being tripped and they immediately took care of it. Overall we had a great week long vacation and stay at the cabin.

Nice home, lovely view, well equipped kitchen

Overall, this home was furnished very nicely. Great kitchen and firepit and hot tub. We thought we would play pool and enjoy the game room, but ended up not having the time. The coffee maker wouldn't work, but the owners promptly had another one delivered to us. They were responsive when we reached out. The master bedroom was enormous with a huge unused space, which could be made much cozier with the use of bedside tables and lamps on both sides of the bed and next to the sofa. We like to read and ended up buying a lamp to read by at Walmart. I advise bringing your own soaps and shampoos in case there are none when you arrive. These are small things. As I said, the property itself is very nice and accommodating for a family, and the owners were very responsive when we needed help.

Great views!

We loved our stay at heavens gate. The views were amazing! We had fun with the puzzles and games as well as the game room downstairs. The hot tub was so relaxing after long days exploring the area. The cabin had everything we needed and more, it was a very comfortable stay. Communication was easy, very responsive. The common areas in the development were awesome and we loved being able to hike right from the neighborhood. We had a lovely stay!

Master bedroom - needs standing towel rack for complete drying of towels and bath mat, needs place to hang clothes. Gutter drip very loud at night, screen door and sliding door to deck need attention, both hard to move. Kitchen oven door drops to floor and injured my wife foot!

Second Stay

This was our second stay here. This house is clean bright and spacious. Good directions and good roads to the property. Close to Blue Ridge Parkway. Beautiful view from the deck and hot tub. Family reunion

Front door was open when we drove up with keys in the door lock. Down stairs bedroom does not have a vent for cooling/heating. The code for changing the thermostat from cool to heat was not provided. The shower heads are not adequate for women who have long hair. There needs to be floor mats by the showers, The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. The view from the back deck was spectacular.
