Clean, cozy, beautiful space!
We loved our stay here! The listing was very accurate. The kitchen was easy to cook in, everything was clean, lots of natural light AND great blinds/curtains to block it out. Super spacious. Worked great for a 4 year old too. Comfortable sturdy seating options and nice vig kitchen table. I appreciate a more supportive mattress but these were definitely fine for a few days. Couch is great! Lots of storage. Very beautiful property and so nice to be surrounded by trees. Check in was a breeze and Joyce was great to communicate with. Would definitely come back here!

Responsive and lovely
Guest house was as described, comfortable and clean with a fully-equipped kitchen. Gracious host greeted us on check in and was very responsive to our requests and questions. It was great to have everything provided for a short stay, i.e. plenty of towels, sheets, blankets and cleaning products. Would stay here again! Thank you

Lovely Cabin Apartment
We were visiting our West Point cadet for family weekend and had a wonderful stay at this cozy apartment in Marlboro. The place was very clean and inviting. The hosts were great. Check in and out were super easy. We enjoyed dining in Beacon and on the river's edge in Newburgh. The drive along the Hudson is beautiful. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Fall getaway
A friend and I wanted an easy Fall weekend getaway and this was the perfect place. It was clean, comfortable, and current with a warm cozy vibe. It’s also close to everything—not a long drive from NYC, and right nearby a few little towns and quaint shopping areas as well as wineries and orchards. Our hosts were also very communicative, messaging us a couple of times during our stay to make sure all was well.

Cozy + Comfortable
Spending a few days in the area with our son and a friend who are in college nearby. The communication from the host is top notch, the home is super cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and have marked this one as one to come back to.

Great place for a getaway
From the moment we got there until the moment we left, people in our party couldn't stop expressing how much we loved the place. Everything was so clean, classy and plentiful. When we turned off the road to get near the house, the views were incredible! Right away there's an old mill house museum and waterfall, followed by rolling hills. It was a foggy day so you could see the fog hugging the mountain. When you get to the house, you can smell the fresh air and walk a few minutes down to an adorable little waterfall (for some reason this area has a lot of waterfalls), or up the hill to a beautiful view of an apple/pear orchard. We couldn't decide whether we preferred walking around or staying inside, both options were so great! There are TWO private decks and an adorable, well-maintained garden right in front of one of them. Joyce is a sweet, very accommodating host, everything was well-stocked and organized. We would definitely come back. The area had something for everyone. We drove a few minutes to a bridge you can walk across over the Hudson, and then to a kosher winery, and then to the Vanderbilt mansion. Bottom line, gorgeous area, gorgeous property, awesome hosts! P.S. - my mother also wanted to write her own five-star review for this place but as far as I know you can only write one review per stay. Maybe next time :)

What you see is online is what you get... and that's a great, clean, comfortable, quiet spot that feels like a private cabin in the woods. Location is good to easily cross the river or go further into the Valley to the north.

Comfortable retreat during busy weekend
My husband and I stayed at this cozy and quiet property while we were visiting the area for our son's college family weekend. We were so busy that we really didn't spend much time there, but we definitely appreciated the very comfortable accommodations and convenient and quiet location. The owners were very responsive, and while it was just the two of us a family of four would find the home roomy enough. Personal preference, we would want a firmer mattress, but we would definitely recommend!

Beautiful Hudson Valley
This house is in an incredibly beautiful area of the Hudson Valley. We spent two months here and it was a perfect retreat as well as a perfect location for exploring the Hudson Valley. Gorgeous home surrounded by an amazing ring of trees. Our host was super nice and helpful and shared his garden tomatos!

Great stay and area!
Everything is as advertised - very spacious home, clean, plenty of amenities, etc. Communication was seamless, there was no confusion checking in and out of the place. Also, the location is great, it is tucked away a bit so its relaxing but close to everything you need and want in that part of the Hudson. highly recommend!

Great place to stay!
A very nice apartment in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. Joyce and Mike were great hosts-and attention to details of the stay afforded no need to bother them for anything-we had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We moved away from New York a few months ago and needed somewhere in between my 2 daughters to stay for the Thanksgiving holiday. It worked out perfectly and we found a beautiful waterfall down the road and had a wonderful walk over the Walkway Over the Hudson. The apartment had a very spacious kitchen, living room and the bedrooms were very comfortable. Would definitely stay there again!

Home away from Home
Joyce is a fabulous host. She is very prompt to responding to messages. The house has a cabin feeling which makes it feel super cozy and allows you to just relax and take in the beautiful nature surrounding it. The neighborhood is very quiet. We enjoyed that in the room with the bunk beds there was a small desk so my husband was able to work from home for a couple of days. Everything was super clean. Another big plus for us we’re all of the sensor lights throughout the house and outside. These helped us each time we had to get up with our newborn and when we arrived to the location late at night. We would have loved to stayed longer and if ever needed again, we would return.

Good value for money
Joyce is a communicative and receptive host, and the apartment is charming. Here is my take: PROS Master bedroom spacious, has a well appointed bed Large continuous living / dining area / kitchen area Deck with chairs and table out front and chairs out back Plump comfy sofa CONS Second room (the one with the bunk bed is VERY small and without a window, felt a bit tight and stuffy Bunk bed room carries noise from street through one wall and the home through another, so may not be great for light sleepers Master bedroom appears to have had folks who smoked in there, so the smell kinda permeated that room (?in the carpet and or curtains?) Overall, the place is cute and a great value for the dollar. If you are very sensitive to smoke, you may want to check in with the host before booking. The second room is a bit tight, probably best for smaller kids. Would book again.

Thank you for the review. In regards to the smoke smell, that’s actually my neighbor’s fire pit smell that occasionally gets into our home from guests leaving our windows open. Sorry you had to deal with that. The apt is connected to the main house so some noise is expected. Besides that we’re glad you enjoyed your stay and please take care!

Just wonderful
My partner and I wanted to get away from the city for a quiet, low-key Valentine's Day weekend. We'd wanted to go to Beacon, and this property was the best option in terms of value and distance. We loved it as soon as we walked in. Plenty of space, a well-stocked kitchen (we did a fair amount of cooking, so this was important), immaculately clean, comfortable, quiet. It had a kind of log cabin feel, which made for great ambience. I don't think the pictures do it justice, really. We were there 3 nights, and I never got over being impressed! Joyce was very kind and communicative. The one thing that was a challenge was the internet, it slowed down and cut out at times. Admittedly, we were doing more work than is typical for a Valentine's getaway (I was meeting a writing deadline and my partner needed to upload a video he had recorded to the cloud). Cell service was also spotty at times, so using our phones as a hotspot only got us so far. But for more regular use, like streaming movies or browsing the web, it was just fine. The other thing is that the property is a bit far out from most attractions, but this wasn't a huge deal to us, since we'd planned to spend a lot of time in anyway. Beautiful, highly recommend!!
