My partner and I wanted to get away from the city for a quiet, low-key Valentine's Day weekend. We'd wanted to go to Beacon, and this property was the best option in terms of value and distance.
We loved it as soon as we walked in. Plenty of space, a well-stocked kitchen (we did a fair amount of cooking, so this was important), immaculately clean, comfortable, quiet. It had a kind of log cabin feel, which made for great ambience. I don't think the pictures do it justice, really. We were there 3 nights, and I never got over being impressed! Joyce was very kind and communicative.
The one thing that was a challenge was the internet, it slowed down and cut out at times. Admittedly, we were doing more work than is typical for a Valentine's getaway (I was meeting a writing deadline and my partner needed to upload a video he had recorded to the cloud). Cell service was also spotty at times, so using our phones as a hotspot only got us so far. But for more regular use, like streaming movies or browsing the web, it was just fine. The other thing is that the property is a bit far out from most attractions, but this wasn't a huge deal to us, since we'd planned to spend a lot of time in anyway.
Beautiful, highly recommend!!
