Very cute cottage that suited our needs perfectly. We cooked meals inside and on the grill outside. We could walk two blocks to Pictured Rocks Cruises and a short drive to more than 3 waterfalls. We could park right near the entrance and keep our shoes in foyer to keep sand out. There was a park within walking distance for the kids. We would stay again.

Excellent location in downtown Munising, within walking distance to everything. Small cozy cottage, meticulously maintained. Very clean and everything looks like new or recently painted/ restored. The only suggestion would be to provide some storage space. There’s one clothes closet in the bedroom. The other bedroom has no closet. All other storage spaces, a chest of drawers in the living room, etc. are all filled with cleaning supplies and towels, bed sheets, etc. So basically one is living out of the suitcase, at a price of a high- end hotel. Same for the bathroom- no place to put one’s stuff. Replacing the large mirror wit a cabinet behind the mirror would help. A pull-out clothes line to dry swimsuits would be nice, too.

Cozy and comfy in an excellent location

The property is easy walking distance to restaurants, cafes and the harbor. There was ample parking. The door and lock are secure. Decor is cozy with a small living room, kitchen, and two bedrooms. The beds and linens were very supportive and comfortable. To me, a comfortable bed is the most important part of a good VRBO, and these were great!The bedroom and bathroom doors are louvered, I presume for circulation. They’re fine for normal privacy concerns, but if you need true isolation, this might be an issue for you. It was not a problem for us at all. There are no laundry facilities, but there is a dishwasher, and there’s a nice laundromat less than a mile away. Everything was clean and in good repair. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Thank you, Lisa! We’d definitely stay here again if we were ever back in the area.

Classy touches like these muted green fan blades that coordinate with the trim.

Be sure to take one of the cruises to view Pictured Rocks from the water. You can walk to the dock from the house.

Playing in the Snow!

We visited Munising to snowshoe and ski at Pictured Rocks National Park and Valley Spur . Perfect pristine snow! Hope to be back soon if it doesn’t snow enough in Wisconsin. Loved both coffeeshops the Gallery and Falling Rock and By George Brewery. People were welcoming and friendly . We love this area . We have visited several times inn Winter and Summer

Clean, Comfortable, and Convenient

This property exceeded our expectations. Very tastefully decorated and thoughtfully furnished, this cottage was very comfortable and an easy base camp for our sight seeing activities. Everything we hoped to explore was close by. Communication with property management was always prompt and helpful, if needed. We give highest kudos for cleanliness. Not even a small problem for us, but others should be aware that the bedroom is small and that the lake view is limited. Note that neither of these stopped us from being extremely please with our stay in this very pleasant neighborhood cottage. We unreservedly give this place our highest recommendation.

Perfect location for exploring Pictured Rocks

My husband and 12 year old daughter stayed there for 3 nights while we explored Pictured Rocks. This is definitely a crash pad and worked well for getting a quick breakfast before going exploring.

Munising Cozy Cottage

Cute Cottage in Perfect Location

This cottage was perfect for me, my daughter and her dog. We had a great time, the house is well appointed and the location was perfect for us. We walked to our ride on the Pictured Rocks Boat Cruise and to restaurants. There are grocery stores in short driving distance. We highly recommend! Be advised that there is no washer/dryer (as advertised) and there are no laundromats nearby.

We had a wonderful stay in your cute cozy cottage. Everything was immaculate and very nicely decorated. We had everything we needed and loved the location . Perfectly Sweet Cottage

This cottage was perfect for my 3 generation girl trip (teenage daughter, myself, and my mom). The cottage itself was adorable. Bright, cozy, and enough space for all of us. Everything was immaculate, and the linens/dishes were brand new. We used the kitchen well, cooking dinner a few nights. While the location was a 3 minute walk to town, the outdoor space still seemed private being set back from the road. The view out the kitchen window of the lake was a bonus. I honestly cannot say enough about this property. I even told my mom I could live here full-time.

The property was small but clean and had everything you needed. Our only issue was lack of shades on most windows. It made it difficult to rest during the long days of summer, and made it feel like a lack of privacy in kitchen.

Downtown Munising cottage

I booked for 6 nights May 3-9 2023 for my first trip to the UP. The cottage was clean and tidy and much as described in the listing. It is next to a larger house owned by the same people and there is a shared backyard with a shared grill, not that the weather in first week of May was conducive to spending time outdoors grilling as there had been a big snowstorm on May 1. The reason I did not give 5 stars is that, despite comfortable double bed in the main bedroom, the gas heating was not a typical HVAC ducted system but a furnace in the living area with a directed fan to living room and kitchen which was pretty loud. After the first two nights, I got used to the noise. The owners specifically requested in the house rules not to use the electrical baseboard heaters. I would have preferred to have the electric heating included in the cost rather than lose sleep over the noise of the quirky old gas heater. Would I stay again - in warmer weather without their gas heating, yes.
