We had five fantastic days at Riad Bamaga. Collette and her staff were wonderful to us, breakfast and dinner were tasteful and the room was lovely. We will definately come back.

Quiet, clean and peaceful riad.
Nice place. Really nice host. Larger rooms than another riad I went. Awesome terrasse and reading corner to relax. I would definitly go again. I recommend!

El sitio es muy difícil de encontrar y no nos ayudaron a llegar.un hombre de otro Ryad nos llevó hasta la puerta. En la habitación había cucarachas y la limpieza diaria era hacer la cama. No nos dieron el te que prometían, El desayuno cada día era peor. Y la sorpresa fue al final nos cobraron 32 euros más por la tasa turística y por el agua que bebimos y eso que en El voucher no decía nada de la tasa y decía que el agua embotellada era gratis. Increíble que el dueño el primer día nos diera una charla de 30 min y no comentará nada

Bonjour et Merci pour votre très Charmant Commentaire. Effectivement trouver un Riad n’est pas chose évidente dans la Médina, c’est la raison pour laquelle nous vous avons proposé un transfert que vous n’avez pas accepté (certainement par économie). Par contre mon veilleur de nuit est allé à 2 heures du matin, au devant de vous pour aller vous chercher, et vous n’avez même pas eu un geste de délicatesse à son égard. Le petit déjeuner Marocain, entièrement maison, (crêpes Marocaines, cake, confitures et yaourt, jus d’orange frais 100% naturel), bien que servi jusqu’à 10 heures 30, vous était servi à 12 heures sans aucune remarque de mon personnel, et avec en plus le sourire. Encore une fois aucune délicatesse pour remerciement de votre part. En ce qui concerne le ménage, celui-ci était effectivement bien fait, salle de bains nettoyée, lit fait, chambre lavée et ce tous les jours, bien que vous libériez la chambre qu’à 14/15 heures, la femme de ménage devait normalement faire le ménage à partir de 11 heures. Nous ne vous avons fait aucune remarque ! Je pense que avez oublié de parlé de la Wifi, comme vous l’avez fait précédemment dans vos commentaires d’arrivée, alors je vais vous préciser que la Wifi est disponible dans l’intégralité du Riad, de votre chambre à la terrasse. Par contre, nous ne contrôlons pas le débit, nous sommes tributaire de Maroc Télécom ! En ce qui concerne, ce que vous appelez « la surprise », ce ne sont que les taxes touristiques de 2€ par personne/nuit, c'est-à-dire 2 personnes à 2€ = 4 € x 6 nuits = 24 €. A cela s’ajoute vos consommations au minibar, c'est-à-dire vos bouteilles d’eau pour un montant de 5,50 €. Soit au total 24 € + 5,50 € = 29,50 € soit 323 Dirhams (montant demandé à votre départ). Donc je ne vois pas où est « la surprise », dans la mesure, où les taxes sont bien indiquées sur votre site de réservation, en supplément de votre chambre, et que le tarif des consommations est bien indiqué sur la fiche au dessus du minibar. A ma connaissance aucun hébergeur ne mets les consommations d’un minibar GRATUITEMENT, et les taxes de séjour sont toujours appliquées aux nuits passées dans le Monde entier, même chez vous en Espagne. Je profite de l’occasion pour également vous préciser que contrairement à ce que vous avez écrit, notre quartier « Riad Laarouss » fait parti des quartiers les plus sur de la Médina. Monsieur Pablo, je prends note de vos doléances non fondées, mais je remarque toutefois que celles-ci font vraiment taches par rapport à la réputation du Riad, réputation qui est formulée par nos hôtes sur les différents sites où nous sommes référencés. Nous sommes même classés dans les 3% meilleurs MONDIAUX par HotelsCombined. Pour conclure, effectivement, Je pense qu’il y a réellement un petit problème quelque part, mais je ne pense pas que ce soit chez nous ! A disappointing second stay
We had stayed here before for a couple of nights in 2014 and liked everything except the fact that the airport transfer was botched and left us waiting for over an hour and required several phone calls to finally be sorted out. Nevertheless, the beautiful interior, the comfortable rooms, the warm welcome, the great location and the excellent breakfast had left very positive memories. Our stay second stay also started with botched airport transfer. Again, it took several calls and significant waiting time until the hotel's driver finally arrived. On the following day we understood that our transfer booking had been lost, even though this had been made in writing via the Expedia messaging service. Our formal check-in with the owner of the Riad was delayed by 14 hours, right until the moment when we wanted to start our sightseeing tour through Marrakech. There was also a conflict between the information provided by my travel agency and the Riad regarding the payment status for this reservation, which left me wondering whether I would end up paying twice. Our expression of mild dissatisfaction about these issues -- in the form of submitting only two out of three smiling faces in the Expedia check-in review system -- was met by an aggressive email response from the owner of the Riad, which struck us as extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. We would recommend against staying here, given the multitude of other excellent riads in Marrakech.

言葉が話せない中で快適な滞在をスタッフが頑張ってサポートしてくれました。 場所は細い路地の先にあり、少し分かりにくので注意です。 広場までは20分程かかりますが、道中にもたくさんのお店があり、マラケシュのメディナを楽しめます。 リヤドの近くにもたくさんレストランがあるので食事の心配も無いです。

Nice Riad ... not honest management
It was a very nice, well kept Riad with 5 rooms in excellent location. The best room was spacious and nicely decorated although needed more lighting especially in the bathroom. Wifi was good. Breakfast was simple but well taken cared of by the wonderful staffs. We booked the best room for 3 nights but found out the first night that it was offered to other guests (after the manager checked our voucher for room info and forgot to check the other guests voucher). We met the owner first day (a Frenchmen) but he only speaks to the manager. After much apology by the manager while unable to correct the error, we requested to receive a discount in exchange for dining at its location. The manager graciously accepted (since the room is less quality than what we had paid for). For $50 value with two entrees, the quality is shockingly bad. The calamari Tagine has one small squid and rice without much taste while the sardine Tagine (very cheap fish here) is very bland. We continue our stay exploring Marrakech. When we checked out the final bill was calculated in such a way that ended up higher than we would have paid full price through online (in Euros) and full price meal. They said they only accept Moroccan Dirham and through riad's lower exchange rate. The manager tried to convince us that he offered some discount from the total amount (but it was still higher than what we would have paid online through hotels.com). Well what can I say? We can't really recommend this place.

Il est exact qu'une petite erreur du réceptionniste (que vous appelez directeur) a fait que vous vous êtes retrouvés sur la même chambre qu'une autre personne. Nous vous avons mis dans une suite avec un rabais de 20% sur vos trois nuitées. Vous nous demandiez un rabais de 50 % sur vos repas, et vous refusiez de payer les taxes de séjour. A cela s'ajoute votre demande de payer par carte en Euro. Je pense qu'il est utile de vous préciser que vous étiez au Maroc, que la monnaie locale est le Dirham, et que la cuisine Marocaine n'est pas la cuisine Chinoise. Quand au Tagine de sardines (spécialité Marocaine) ça a été vote choix parmi une dizaine de menus proposés. Lorsqu'on voyage, il faut accepter que les traditions ne soient pas les mêmes que chez soi. Malgré celà, j'espère que vous gardez un bon souvenir du Maroc et du Riad BAMAGA. Très Cordialement. Denis (Propriétaire et directeur du Riad BAMAGA)

Netter Aufenthalt, mehr aber nicht
Im grossen und ganzen war der aufenthalt okay.aber so wie alle hier schwärmen verstehe ich nicht. also so ein frühstück kann man auch in der jugendherberge bekommen....ich weiss nicht wo die anderen sonst frühstücken...aber das war das absoluten minimum....weisses brot abgezählt, croissant, 3 marmeldaden und das war es dann..kein aufschnitt, kein käse, kein ei, kein yoghurt...diese dinge gehören zu einem frühstück. aber die angestellten waren sehr nett. jetzt auch noch die mopeds aus den souks verbannen dann würden wir auch wiederkommen.

Je tiens à attirer votre attention, que vous étiez au Maroc, pays musulman ou il n'y a pas de CHARCUTERIE, et que le Maroc n'est pas un pays FROMAGER. Nous vous avons servis des petits déjeuners Marocains, en plus des croissanteries, avec des spécialités marocaines Msmen (Crêpes marocaines), des confitures maisons, des yaourts maisons, du cake maison, et un jus d'oranges 100% naturelle. (Ce qui est très rare dans les Hôtels). je comprends votre remarque, mais il faut accepter les coutumes des pays que nous visitons qui ne sont pas celles de chez nous. Je pense avoir répondu à votre remarque et que vous comprendrez et nous tiendrez pas rigueur de ces différences, car nous mettons tout en oeuvre pour que nos hôtes repartent avec de bons souvenirs du Riad BAMAGA. Super Zentral und Top Service
Wir haben das Riad am Anfang und am Ende unseres Marokkotrips bewohnt und sind vollkommen zufrieden. Die Lage ist top um Marrakesch und vor allem die Souks zu erkunden. Die Zimmer sind individuell und im marokkanischen Stil eingerichtet. Von dem zuvorkommenden Personal wurde das Zimmer jeden Tag gereinigt und auch sonst ist das Riad sehr sauber. Es gibt landestypisches Frühstück, welches sehr lecker ist. Besonders erwähnenswert ist der Service. Uns wurde ein Wüstentrip organisiert und auch die Buskarten für die Weiterreise, der Transfer zum Flughafen und alles was das Herz begehrt wurde für uns organisiert. 100% das richtige Riad für einen Besuch in Marrakesch! Danke nochmal für alles!

The riad was pretty. The staff was very nice and helpful. I wasn't crazy about the location, but it was still close enough (about a 20 minute walk) to the main square. Good value for the money.

Effectivement, Le Riad BAMAGA bénéficie d'un bon emplacement, il se trouve à 200 mètres de l'entrée du Souk, 15 minutes à pieds de la place Jema El Fna (Chronométré par moi-même) et à mis chemin de cette place et des jardins Majorelle. De plus, il se trouve dans un quartier calme et tranquille. Le seul bruit que vous entendez dans le Riad, c'est celui ces oiseaux de Marrakech. Très Cordialement, Denis, Propriétaire du Riad

The manager was really nice and helpful. We paid for a pickup at the train station and we got safely escorted all the way to the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful with a calm fountain inside and a beautiful rooftop rest area with a great view over the city.

Effectivement, nous assurons un service dès votre arrivée, ce qui vous évite le harcelement particulièrement désagréable des taxis et des jeunes marocains à votre descente du taxi pour venir au Riad. Nous avons tout pensé afin de vous faciliter votre transfert jusqu'à vous mettre une pancarte à votre arrivée à l'aéroport de couleur différente afin de vous faciliter la recherche parmi les plus de 50 chauffeurs présents, et de vous accompagner sur les 150 mètres du parking jusqu'au Riad, Jamais vous serez sans notre présence à votre arrivée. Le Riad est très bien entretenu la chambre très bien décorée et très propre. Excellent Moroccan experience
Enjoyed sitting in the courtyard and having breakfast on the roof-top terrace. Exceptional staff, so helpful, they all went above and beyond, can't praise them highly enough! Abdeliz organised a brilliant private tour to the Atlas Mountains for us, including Berber villages, camel ride and trek to Setti Fatma waterfalls, for a very good price - much cheaper than booking online! On our arrival Abdeliz provided maps and info on seeing the sights, good restaurants etc. Mohamed looked after us very well. He is the nicest, kindest, most helpful person - an asset to the Riad Bamaga! The staff made our holiday in Marrakech much more enjoyable because of their knowledge and helpfulness. I would highly recommend this riad for a perfect Moroccan experience.

We were there on a family trip. Very good riad, excellent location in the center close to all atracktions. We arrived at 1am and they waited for us next to the parking to escort s to riad. From that moment the staff wentbout of his way to make our time there great.

Bel riad silenzioso nella parte nord della medina. Si trova in un vicolo facilissimo da ritrovare a circa venti minuti a piedi dalla piazza centrale, quindi non proprio comodo per chi non volesse camminare tanto. Le camere sono ben curate, la colazione buona. I proprietari sono stati molto gentili.

Bonjour et merci pour votre commentaire. Il est exact que ne sommes pas sur la Place Jema El Fna. Nous sommes à 15 minutes à pieds (Chronométré par moi-même). Nous sommes très légérement excentré du bruits et des touristes Mais Marrakech, ce n'est pas que Jema El Fna. Je vous invite à aller dans un Riad près de place, et après vous serez convaincu de l'avantage du Riad BAMAGA. Nous avons bon nombre de clients, (qui recherchent le calme) qui maintenant nous sont fidèles et reviennent tyous les ans après nous avoir découvert et avoir été dans des riads près de cette place. dejlige dage i Marrakech
vi har haft nogle dejlige dage i april 2015 på riad Bamaga. En riad er andet og mere end bare et hotel. Riaden er lukket mod omverdenen og åben mod en lukket gårdhave gennem riadens etager. Du kommer ind fra en kedelig gyde til en oase. Det gav en tæthed til det yderst venlige og hjælpsomme personale. Rummet var rent, pænt og velfungerende. Riaden ligger i et stille område i medinaen ca et kvarters gang fra Fna-pladsen. Vores varmeste anbefaling!

Fantástica primera experiencia en Marrakech. El Riad es, como había, leído, un oasis en la caótica Medina. Precioso, limpio, silencioso y atendido por dos chicos esmerados en hacer que te sientas cómoda y segura.

awesome place, very friendly hosts
really great place, nice atmosphere, quiet (no traffic noise), awesome roof top and great breakfast! The only downside (my stay was in January), it was a bit cold at night but I have to admit I did not switch on the AC either.

This is the place to stay in Marrakesh!
My daughter and I stayed at the riad for 4 days. Whenever we come back from activities, the staff made some hot mint tea for us and we felt like home. We enjoyed different kinds of bread every morning. For booking massage, activities, taxi etc., the hotel staff, Aziz, arranges for you. He and other staff definitely made our stay more comfortable.

Nice place but there are better options
Great little place and immaculate. Most of the staff was lovely, friendly and helpful, but Aziz kept insisting that checkout was at 9:30am (which was especially silly since there was no one there to even clean the room at that time). And I had to show on the website that checkout was, in fact, at 11am at which point he finally agreed to allow me to stay in the room until that time. Also, the wifi is TERRIBLY slow even in public areas and nonexistent in the room. Breakfast was minimal...bread, butter and jam...not even the little triangle of cheese most places give you. For the price you can do better

Je dois vous dire qu'Aziz ne fait plus parti du personnel, et que le WIFI est maintenant dans l'intégralité du Riad, dans les chambres et même sur la terrasse. Quand aux petits déjeuners, ils sont Marocain, et le Maroc n'est pas un pays fromager. Il faut accepter que les coutumes du pays que nous visitons soient différentes de celles de chez nous. Par contre maintenant, en plus de la croissanterie, ils sont avec confitures maison, yaourt maison, cake maison, crêpes marocaines maison et jus d'oranges 100 % naturelle. (très rare dans les hôtels) Aussi, nous aurons toujours plaisir à vous recevoir, Cordialement, Denis, Propriétaire du Riad BAMAGA

Beautifully authentic Riad Bamaga.
Lovely place to stay near and yet away from the madness of Marrakesh. This little oasis of quite peacefulness lets you recharge your batteries to face another day at the souks :). A very hospitable and friendly staff helpful at every turn. Especially enjoyed the mint tea at the sunny rooftop garden listening to the birds. Aziz arranged a 2 day trip into the desert , what an amazing adventure with stunning mountain views and stops along the way. The camel ride to the tents for the overnight stay I will not soon forget. Without doubt I'd stay at the Riad Bamaga again on my next visit to Marrakesh. This Riad is highly recommended if you like an authentic , exotic , quite and a peaceful place. You'll come as a guest and leave as a friend. ---- Make sure to include the taxi ride from the airport arranged by Aziz to avoid being extorted by initially friendly guys willing to walk you to your hotel and as you get there use intimidating tactics and exorbitant "fees" for their "service". Stay away from these street thugs and take a cab , it's a lot cheaper (Make sure to negotiate the price BEFORE getting in). (This is just a general note as a word of advice and happens no matter where you stay in Marrakesh).

Lovely Riad
We had a lovely stay and the staff couldn't do enough to help us. The room was beautifully decorated and the roof terrace is a lovely hide away. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Nice Riad
we spent at Riad Bamaga two nights. You could never imagine how chic and cute it is while you are reaching the place. The Riad and the terrace are wonderful and the breakfast rich (the best we had in Marocco). In the morning was amazing to be waken by birdsong. Birds were to drink at the little fountaine in the middle of the riad. Recommended

Fantastic Riad
We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. Lovely people, gorgeous room, super breakfast and great central location. Would recommend highly. Thank you to all the staff for their care and attention. The hand drawn map and detailed print out of directions were fantastic and the hints and advice given most appreciated and saved us from getting into any tricky situations :0). Would love to return again.

Sets a standard all hotels should follow
As soon as you book your room, Aziz (the hotel manager I think) will email you directions on how to get there-- I think this immediate step sets a tone for an extremely comfortable and accomodating stay. The Riad is SUPER nice and pretty and there are birds that fly in out of it as it is open through the middle. The rooms are very nice and big and the staff obviously loves tourists. The rest of my family was distraught at the location when we arrived there as you walk through a neighborhood street to get to the Riad, but as soon as they got over the shock it was fine (just keep in mind that this is considered the old part of the city and is the city center and that you are in neighborhood with many families). This is very close to the markets and other locations. Very nice stay, would definitely recommend-- my only critique is that the breakfast could definitely use a good number of more items, it was just bread when we stayed like a croissant and a literal peice of bread and some mint tea.

great, peaceful place to stay
We loved our stay at this riad. We got their August special and it was an excellent value for the money. Abdulaziz was responsive by email and arranged an airport transfer that kindly waited for us when we were delayed by hours. The rooms are spacious and charming. Plenty of hot water and pressure. One drawback was the room did not lock, but we felt plenty safe and put our valuables in the safe in the office. It is about a 15 minute walk to Djemma el Fna, so if you are not a walker, maybe it is not great for you, but for us we loved the walk and being a bit out of the fray while still in the medina. Breakfast on the roof and the nice bathrobes were a treat!

Beautiful Riad in the heart of the Medina
The hotel was a bit out of the way but easy walking distance to the markets. The hotel itself is gorgeous, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and after travelling through Europe for a few weeks the Riad had by far the largest bathroom we had seen in a while. Breakfast in the morning was served on the rooftop terrace which was very nice and was very good, coffee, fresh pastry, bread, jams etc. We always felt very safe throughout Marrakech and enjoyed our time there very much.

エクスペディアの評価が高く、４つ星としている割に料金が安かったので決めました。モロッコは初めてで、入国最初の夜から３泊しました。予約をすると、空港まで出迎えの案内のメールがきました。１５ユーロということで結構高いなと思いつつ、初めてでもあったのでお願いをしましたが正解でした。地図をみて自力でいくのはほぼ不可能だと思います。部屋は写真どおりの落ち着いたものでした。一人旅でしたので広さも十分です。バスタブはなくシャワーでした。　エクスペディアの日本語の案内では、フルブレックファスト付きとありましたが、実際はコンチネンタルブレックファストでした。英語でエクスペディアのサイトをみたところFree Breakfastとありました。翻訳ミスかなと。なのでリヤドにはクレームしませんでした。フルブレックファストの意味が国によって違うのかも知れません。　スタッフはとても頼りになるいい方でした。

Riad Bamaga - an excellent choice
Riad Bamaga is right in the heart of the Medina offering a true experience that cannot be found in the 'luxury' hotel sector. Despite the mayhem of the city, the Riad provides a calm and tranquil oasis at the end of the day and the rooftop terrace is a delightful place to unwind. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the furnishings authentic. We ate out most evenings, but our most enjoyable meal was at the Riad on the terrace, where we sat with a lovely little cat who shared our delicious meatballs. The staff cannot be recommended more highly.

Lovely Riad in a very good location.
Colette the owner is without doubt the best host I have ever had the opportunity to meet. Always helpful and always welcoming. I just wish everywhere I stayed had a 'Colette'! Simon also needs a mention as he was always extremely polite and helpful. Even made us a nice mint tea before we left. The Riad itself is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Good location although I imagine would be hard to find if you're an adventuring type and want to arrive by bus etc. If I ever return to Marrakech I will without doubt return to Riad Bamaga.
