Chapelrow 3 luxury cottage in the peaks

  • This lovely holiday home offers a spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which offers everything you need to make a meal during your stay including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. There’s a dining table to stay 6. Get comfy in the lounge in front of the Smart TV, enjoy some competitive fun on the retro arcade games machine, or just curl up with a good book. The sofa doubles up as a sofa bed which is perfect for the little ones or for extra family members and there is a handy downstairs WC. Downstairs there is also a bedroom with bunk beds please note the bunk beds are slightly smaller than full size singles (about 90% of full size) . upstairs in the bedroom where you will be sure to get a good night’s rest, There is a double bed, stylish complimenting furniture and a picture window with lovely views. Head through to the luxurious bathroom with shower and WC.
    Outside there is bench seating to relax and enjoy the view. Guests have access to a shared utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Cottage was lovely and spacious and in a great location with amazing views. It had everything we needed for a great stay. A thoughtful starter pack greeted us on arrival and the information Jacky the host provided was excellent. An added bonus was a private parking space. There was also a large co-op store just round the corner. We would stay again

A superb lucky find

Great accommodation in a lovely friendly town. We stayed in 2 of the chapel row cottages and were really pleased with the quality of the accomodation. A minor booking error was swiftly resolved by Jacky who communicated well and replied quickly. The cottages themselves are conveniently located at the top of Wirksworth town, with all the local amenities, good pubs and no chain businesses (except the useful coop opposite). We’d never heard of Wirksworth before booking but loved the area and will return to stay at the Chapelrow.

Chapelrow - a wonderful cottage in the Peaks

The property was immaculate and modern, communication from our host, Jacky was swift, friendly and helpful. Co-op was across the road from the secure car park, which was a few seconds' walk from the front door of the cottage. On arrival there was a welcome box with a beer, bread, assorted jams, biscuits and other items. Wi-fi was fast and reliable, beds were very comfortable, the whole cottage was clean and very well equipped. The Space Invaders machine in the living room (a great touch) even had original mono and newer colour options! Perfectly placed to walk into the village, where interesting shops, pubs and the remains of a medieval house can be found among the beautiful surroundings. Photos of the restoration of Churchrow by Darryl and Team were really interesting. We could not have imagined anything like this for the money, particularly at peak season during school summer holidays and we will definitely be back. Apologies to Jacky - in our efforts to herd the kids out of the cottage, we forgot to write in the guest book but will do next time. Thank you so much, Dave, Heather and the herd.
