âAwesome location, nice staff But the place needs a renovation. Or a good maintenance team: towel hangets, toalett seat and flishög bottom were unusable because they were so broken. And that was only the bathroom â
âThe lady at the reception when checking-in could not speak English and she was not friendly, thanks to the gentleman (forgot his name) who came to our rescue. Day stuff were so friendly and they could speak different languages. I believe after the renovations the hotel will be superb. Not forgetting the security guys, I thank them from the bottom of my heart, they were so helpful and they even washed my car.â
âWe where so warmly welcomed and felt at home right away. Our initial plan was to stay only a few days since we had other plans traveling around but we had to come back and stay at Papaya every time we returned to Maputo. Now we donât even have to look for anything else. This hotel is a given for any future visits. Even our local friends were positivley surprised when we shared our experiences of this loving little Oasis.

âThis was an excellent hotel for our business trip. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. The food in the restaurant was well prepared. The breakfast buffet was always hot with plenty of offerings. We would definitely stay there again.â

"The hotel was clean and comfortable, but it did not live up to the expectations set by its 5-star rating, especially considering the price. For instance, the directions from reception to the restaurant, that was located in a separate building, was vague. Additionally, the reception mistakenly booked the airport shuttle for the wrong day, but the issue was promptly resolved at the front desk. The breakfast options were also limited for vegetarians, with most choices being meat-based. The overall experience and stay were pleasant but it fell short of what one would expect from a hotel of this category."
