The cozy holiday apartment is located in the village of Mauerbach in Lower Austria, a short distance from the bustling centre of Vienna and on the edge of the famous Wienerwald, a beautifully extensive forest and natural landscape (approx. 1000 km2) with numerous hiking and cycling trails, perfect for an active holiday!
Nearby, you will find the Mountain Bike Trail Center Vienna with several challenging trails, ideal for experienced mountain bikers! There are also plenty of restaurants and bars, supermarkets and other shopping opportunities in Mauerbach and the surrounding area, such as the large shopping centre Auhof Center Vienna.
In summer, the various outdoor pools in the region offer plenty of swimming fun! Relax at the Therme Wien Oberlaa in Vienna with its many pools, spacious sauna paradise and separate children's area or enjoy the Römertherme in Baden with thermal baths, saunas and steam baths. Both can be reached in about 30-45 minutes by car.
In winter, the Wienerwald shows its quiet, romantic side. After a winter walk through the quiet, snow-covered forests of the Wienerwald, the cosy atmosphere of the typical 'Heuriger' and the region's various restaurants awaits. Those who prefer sports, can enjoy the beautiful nature on rolling hills and well-prepared cross-country trails - ideal for beginners and connoisseurs. Just a few kilometres away, Vienna beckons with its famous Christmas markets - from the traditional Christmas market on Rathausplatz to the atmospheric market in front of Schönbrunn Palace. Glittering lights and decorated craft stalls make a trip to the capital an unforgettable experience!
