The Pea Pod - Deep Creek Lake

Greetings from Deep Creek Lake!

Unwind away in this cozy but carefully furnished home while enjoying the sounds of birds in the morning or views of the lake activities which are sure to entice you!

Ideal for a romantic getaway or a small family vacation the home has three bedrooms and two full baths. Show off your culinary skills in the fully equipped kitchen that has everything you need to make big breakfasts or late-night snacks.

The single level floor plan as well as, side entrance access is also a "strong plus" as it facilitates needs for guests which do not want to deal with excessive stairs.

Conveniently located, exploring the area is a breeze as you are within minutes from restaurants, mini golf, marinas, shops, ziplines and more.

The Wisp Resort is within walking distance and offers four seasons of fun! Experience skiing, golf, snow tubing, mountain biking, the mountain coaster, disc golf, escape games and much more. On top of the mountain, the Adventure Sports Center is home to white water rafting thrills on their man-made river.

Area state parks are brimming with activities for every age and interest. Miles of hiking trails, sandy beaches for swimming, canoe rentals, cross country skiing and fishing are just a few ways to enjoy our public lands.

Be sure to visit Oakland's historic downtown that is within a fifteen-minute drive. Stroll quiet streets with stops to browse antique stores, shop for classic vinyl, or to have a drink in an upscale lounge. During the summer months, the Farmers Market offers local produce, local crafts, baked goods, and fresh cut flowers.

We LOVE staying at the Pea Pod. It's proximity to the lake and to the Wisp mountain is ideal. The managers include lots of little amenities to make your stay more enjoyable and easy. We especially like that it's CLEAN. Thank you for allowing us to stay there year after year every summer!

Convenience and comfort

The house was clean and comfortable. The porch was nice. Window units worked but didn't really need them. It was near the lacrosse tournament we attended and the grocery store. I liked the Roku TV, the kitchen and living room furniture.

Perfect Stay Away From Home

Perfect Getaway Home

The Peapod was perfect for us. It was roomy, sunny, and pleasant, with an ideal layout. The front porch was amazing—large and with a nice view. We met owner Carlos who was gracious and friendly. Because it was a slow season, Carlos kindly offered us things that might not be available during busy season such as extra parking and gas grill. I would highly recommend this home.

Great Rime at the Pea Pod

My husband and I rented the Pea Pond in order to visit with our Pennsylvania family who rent and own homes in the McHenry area. Not only is the home extremely clean but it is also very accommodating to travelers away from home. From the kitchen equipment to the towels and comfort of the home we were "at home." Many of our family members visited and were very impressed with the lay-out and comfort of the home. The only negative is that their is no central air. However, the window units in the bedrooms made sleeping very comfortable . Also the owner has many fans available throughout the home which adds additional comfort in other areas of the home. Give it a try. It won't disappoint!

Peapod is great!

We're a family of 4 adults, and the Peapod was the perfect size for us -- the right number of beds/baths, a kitchen that easily seats 4, and a cozy living space where we could read, play games, watch movies, or chat. The house was clean and well maintained, and there were nice "welcome extras" left for us. The location is fantastic -- across the street from the lake and very close to shops/restaurants. We'll definitely return!

The PeaPod

ABSOLTELY loved this house! It was quaint, charming, clean and comfortable! The neighborhood was wonderful also, very calm and peaceful. We could had lake views morning, noon and night! Return Stay

The Pea Pod delivered again this summer. Everything works well and it fits our needs perfectly. They do a great job of stocking things nicely that you might need and the little touches that make a stay more comfortable. Highly recommend for a family that wants quick access to DCL.

So close to Wisp AND lakeview

Amazing to have breakfast and apres ski with lake view and so much quiet. Day 1 we walked to Wisp for skiing, and so easy for the grannies to get in to pick us up in the evening. We thought about leaving skis in the car, but why would we when there is an actual rack off the driveway for the skis :)? Deer out the back window, and we knew the snow tubing was up there but we didn't see or hear it, and the tubers couldn't see us. Plenty of space for a couple, a couple of grannies, and a tween. Well-appointed kitchen (regular coffee maker AND a Keurig!, not one but two Pyrex measuring cups to heat our coffee, more than 1 set of coffee cups, baking sheets, supplies, everything) and still space for our food and snacks. We all enjoyed ourselves very much!

Perfect name - The pea pod

The pea pod is a charming little house that was perfect for the 4 of us to spend time together. Donna and Carlos (hosts) were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The house was very clean, close to many activities and right across from the lake.
