“The beds were comfy. The dining are is well designed and the waffles were yummy. You do need to get to breakfast early. The pool was fun. Having a fridge and microwave is very convenient. The location is great. Parking was simple. The staff were attentive and friendly. The pool area would be next level with the addition of a few palm plants. Overall we were happy with our stay.”

“The pool is the cleanest area of the hotel, water would not drain in the tub while taking a shower. Blankets and sheets were stained and not clean at all, looks like just the beds were made.”

“This was a wonderful experience! Easy check-in, parking and clean. Beautiful view of the sunsets and sunrise. Fun floating on water, my kids loved it. I do recommend if you have trouble walking to not do a bungalow, due to the dock moving when getting in and out bungalow. They do have other options to still have a wonderful experience and view.”

“Terrible couldn't sleep. Dog next door barking all night. Guy puts dog outside it's growling at my door couldn't get out of fly infested room staff seeing all this no help”

“We have been visiting Chincoteague for many years and understand that many of the hotels are older, which has never been an issue for us. This trip, we decided to try Birchwood Inn instead of our usual accommodations. Upon arrival, the office sign indicated it was open, but the door listed three different phone numbers to call for assistance. After finally reaching someone, I was informed that our room key had been left in the mailbox beside the office door, meaning anyone could have potentially...

“The rooms were clean and well kept. The staff was helpful and very thoughtful and caring with my kids. Actually reopened the pool for 30 min so they could swim later in the evening. Fast check in and fast check out. Anything needed was promptly supplied or taken care.”

“Toppenställe med otrolig personal! Vi var helt genomblöta och behövde torka stövlar och skinnställ. Så personalen ger oss en extra hårtork vilket räddade oss inför nästa dags etapp! Dessutom helt ok frukost med riktigt bra kaffe🙂”
