PROS: The property is in a good location and spacious just as described. Cozy Cabin and we liked the division of bedrooms; with one located downstairs and 2 upstairs. CONS: The lighting in the master bedroom was very poor and so dim. Difficult to see anything. The remote to the TV has a missing power button but I used a key to stick it in the hole to make it work. In addition., the carpet was stained and dirty. The house was surface clean but really dusty and filled with cobwebs. BEDS: I’m not a fan of the firm temperpedic style mattress but this is my own personal preference. The twin mattresses were just as uncomfortable per my family members. These would be my only complaints, overall a nice experience for the 2 days we stayed. Happy Holidays

Thank you for the feedback! I will make sure to get over there tomorrow and see what happened to the remote and take my dust buster! The dust is so hard to control in the country environment with the logs. Cobwebs are the bane of mt existence! But I’ll attack them again. Thx again for the feedback. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Cozy as a bear’s den!
Beautiful setting, very peaceful, but not far from shopping areas, etc. Clean and well supplied, wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Easy to find. The only suggestion is to be able to check in before 4 and check out at 11. The remote for the upstairs TV is broken so can’t use the TV

Hi Kathleen, so sorry we didn’t meet your expectations for your stay. In the future, feel free to let me know when something is broken and I will immediately correct it. I was unaware the remote was not working. It has been corrected as of now. In addition, when booking, you can always see the policies in regard to check in and out times. Different rentals have different check in and out times for a variety of reasons. If one place doesn’t work for you, I’m certain you can find a place that does.

Great Place Easy to Get too
The house was easy to find, easy to access, quite setting, get decks for relaxing on, nice yard, and overall pleasant to stay at. No issues with anything other than normal items with wear and tear. I would definitely stay here again if needed to.

Great property!
My family and I had a great time at this home. It is homey and comfortable and perfect for our family of three couples and a baby! It's situated right in Southern Oregon Wine country and right near lots of hiking. All in all I recommend.

Lovely backyard
nicely landscaped backyard for relaxing; several nice places to gather both socially and for work purposes, including the living room and dining area. Kitchen was well-stocked. Next to a busy road, so there was some noise from that, but it wasn't disruptive to our stay. Would definitely return!

Perfect place for the night
We drove from California to Washington and needed a place for one night on the drive up. This house feels like a large cabin — it’s incredibly charming. It was well maintained and comfortable, and my kids got a kick out of its rustic feel.

Lovely weekend in Medford
Our family of 5 stayed at this property for two nights. It was just as advertised and a great get-away. The space allowed us to host a nice dinner with family and friends. The bedrooms were spaced out to give people some alone time if needed. We loved the giant shower off the master bedroom. Communication with the hosts was stellar. I would rate the ease of quick response of the owners at 5-stars plus! If we are in the area again we will certainly look into this property.

Nice and quiet neighborhood
Beautiful home on a nice plot of land. The owner were very helpful for our stay! The house was cozy and great from kids! We'd love to stay there again or at any of their other properties!

Good loacation, nice comfortable home
Definitely could have been cleaner- sticky spots on kitchen floor. Foil and some baggies or at least some tupperware to store food in/left overs would be appropriate. The bedrooms, linens and towels were all very clean and comfortable. Overall the home is great for a stay with friends and family.

Hi there. I am so sorry we missed the Mark some areas. I have addressed the spots on the floor. I have reminded our cleaners to be sure to check the floors a little better. We do try and have Tupperware but unfortunately it is taken from our listing on a very regular basis so it’s really hard to keep up with the Tupperware. We try and provide glass dishes that have lids so that they don’t disappear as quickly. If you were ever back in Medford we would love to try again to provide that five star stay!

Perfect for an overnight stay on our road trip
We arrived when it was dark and found the home fine. The kids loved the log cabin feel and the gas or electric fireplace is a nice touch. There were a couple stains on the carpet and the beds/pillows were not as comfortable as hoped but we were satisfied overall. Thank you!

Holiday dinner
Great home in a beautiful setting. Two bedrooms are up stairs and one is down stairs. Log Home with a great patio and outdoor area. Beautiful Christmas tree lite and holiday decorations. This is Dec, and it was a nice touch. Clean, homey and I plan to rent this home again. Plenty of parking, a few of my guests parked a little too far over to the lane next to the home. There was plenty of parking in front of the home and carport. Lovely stay, and responsive owners.

Cozy Home on Lovely Lot
The house is cozy and comfortable with one downstairs bedroom and two upstairs. There are a lot of stairs which, if you have bad knees or back, could be a struggle for some folks. The stairs were not a surprise but the amount and steepness kind of was. Our host, Laura, was very accommodating and quick to respond when we had questions or concerns. Overall, it was a great stay!

Absolutely the best house I've ever rented
I booked this house for my apprentice, and myself, and it did not disappoint! We travel out of town a lot, mostly for at least a week, to multiple months. I feel like its very important to find a place that we can call home for the time being, so we can stay in our natural routines, as it makes coming home a lot easier of a transition rather than staying in a hotel. Laura's home was absolutely perfect for us and it truly made us feel like we were able to relax and be in a place we can temporarily call home. The house was in impeccable order, wonderfully decorated, and came with every bell and whistle! They had every kitchen utensil you could name, bad-ass BBQ out back, plenty of room and storage, and the bedrooms were wonderful and comfortable! I got the master suite of course. I would recommend this house over and over again! I plan to book this house every chance I get when I come back to Medford. Thanks again for sharing your home with us!

Loved staying here! We ate outside for all our meals! TV trays, clocks in the rooms, round table in the gazebo would be nice.! Girls thought a small water feature would be nice near the gazebo to drown out traffic noise! Thanks so much! Hope to come again!!

Great house for a family
We loved our stay at the house. The shower in the master bathroom is fantastic. We loved eating on the wrap around porch, and the water tastes great. Only drawback for us was the kitchen. There were no pitchers to make Koolaid or tea; we picked three up from Dollar Tree and left them there. There’s not a complete set of measuring cups or spoons, and they need more forks. If you plan to eat out the whole time, then it probably won’t even bother you. It’s a beautiful house with a big backyard.

Amazing stay in Southern Oregon!
Laura’s beautiful, well-appointed home and property were the home base for our family who traveled up from San Diego for our daughters wedding. We also rented the tiny houses so we would have room for additional family members. We arranged with Laura in advance to have a small dinner outside one evening, and the setting was perfect despite the record setting temperatures in southern Oregon over the weekend, Laura was so accommodating and truly concerned about our comfort in the heat. I am so thankful that we found this great place to stay in!! Great location, really close to Jacksonville and to Medford and Ashland. Highly recommend!

This VRBO rental was four 3 Ladies to use while we were in town for a business meeting. The rental was paid for by the regional director of an insurance company. When I arrived I immediately noticed that there was at least three cameras watching my every move. When the others arrived we had to contact the number to unlock the thermostat for the upstairs of the house to be able to use the air because it was so stifling hot and yet she controlled the temperature. Set it at 68 and that’s where it stayed. There is a very nice barbecue and deck area, we were going to have a small barbecue (hamburgers/hotdogs) with approximately 11 adults and four children after work for a get together. When she found out that we wanted to have a barbecue, she said nothing over the 3 People or she would charge $10 per head, and then when she found out that there was 15 of us she said that was like a small wedding party and she would charge my boss $750. The house was not the cleanest I have ever stayed in, I actually even wonder if my bathroom downstairs had been swept and mopped because there was still toilet tissue pieces on the ground. Not being able to control your own temperature while you are there from the difference of day to tonight, not allowing a small get together with Professional adults and some children, Cameras always watching your every move, just proved to me that she is an unbearable control freak. We will not rent again when in town for our next office meeting.

Good house in a nice location!
I enjoyed staying in this home. The location is great - kind of in the countryside but not too far away from other places. Lots of animal sounds at night. Jacksonville is about five minutes down the road. The home itself was comfortable, clean, and had good space/layout. Like the listing says, there are a couple of tiny homes and a workshop on the same property. They're basically right next to the home and yard, so it's not very private if you're in the backyard. Someone from the tiny homes/workshop also parked a U-Haul truck in the driveway in front of the home for two days. We didn't really mind, but just something to think about if you're looking for a more private getaway type of place. Overall, a great stay and I highly recommend this home.

Great house for getting away

Great Family Hang Out
My family of 2 adult children and partners and one grandchild were traveling from Bend to Cave Junction. We de died to break up the travel with a night’s stay in Medford. We visited Umpqua Hot Springs and Crater Lake on our way to the house. The house was a great overnight hang out with plenty of family social space plus comfortable bedrooms and baths. We enjoyed relaxing in the gazebo out back. The outdoor kitchen grill was difficult to operate / nit working for us so we opted for cooking dinner inside (great gas stove!). Laura was very responsive about the grill and is developing operating instructions for future guests. We would recommend a stay here for families or groups of friends!

What a lovely log home...close to our son and his family, and so many of our favorite places! The log house was everything we had hoped for; clean, comfortable and cozy. We most especially enjoyed sharing your home with my sisters and their husbands (their first trip to OR). They loved the house and all of the lovely things south Oregon has to offer. Nice cabin!
Beautiful & quiet cabin tucked away with great privacy. Our feedback and suggestions would be, replace the mattresses/pillows and add some blackout blinds in the bedrooms upstairs. The mattresses are very uncomfortable. The morning sun is also blinding in the spare bedroom upstairs. Sleeping in isn’t an option for light sleepers. Overall, the property is amazing and the house is very cozy and clean. Bathrooms are very nice and spacious. Owners are very friendly and respond quickly when called upon. Thanks again for making our trip memorable.
