The room was nice. The screened in porch overlooking the backyard and river was great, as it allowed us to spend all our time outside, if not sitting down by the river. Shower hot with great pressure. Sitting down by the river was a great experience. The pool was clean and a perfect temp for swimming. No one could have prepared us for the sound of the train, which is unfortunate for all who live near the intersection where it blows its horns going by. We got used it after a couple of days and ceased to really notice it. Had some trouble with unruly guests which Mark addressed immediately by phone as he was away. The person who was supposed to watch the house and clean it while he was away that week was amiss in taking care of things, like emptying the trash in the kitchen or getting the eggs from the chickens. The laundry was accessible and helpful for us not to have to pack as much. Parking was great and off road. The area was walkable and near the manatee observation area. On the river, we saw dolphins, manatee, an alligator and other wildlife; the highlights of our stay.

The house is 101yr old property that has been renovated. We stayed in the Heron room which had plenty of space and a private patio with couch, coffee table and high top table and chairs overlooking the pool and river. The bed was very comfortable for us and the shower is spacious with great water pressure. Microwave and Mini fridge in the room with a desk, chair, and sitting chair. The shared living room, dining room, and kitchen were nicely decorated and plenty of items available for continental breakfast and snack items. The inside and outside has a fun, colorful beachy vibe, with plenty of outdoor seating right on the river. Walking distance to the downtown area with plenty of restaurants and shops. Beach is a short distance away. Mark, the host, was very nice and responsive. You must visit the chicken coop! Kayaks available for guests at no cost. The parking is a little cramped but it worked out for us. We parked, and then either walked or ubered. Quiet spot, although you will hear the trains frequently, so something to consider if you are a light sleeper. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, the convenience of the location, and would recommend. Thank you again to Mark and staff!

Loved the view.

Stayed in the Heron Room with direct entry from the front porch. It was a little odd as you enter through the bathroom which didn't matter to us, but could be awkward if you're sharing with a friend. There is a 2nd entry from the back of the property too. The room was spacious with a refrigerator and microwave. From the room, you have access through a door into the main house where you can help yourself to breakfast, snacks and drinks. This room has it's own screened porch which we enjoyed using during a rainy day as it has great views of the creek. Every morning we had our coffee outdoors on the chairs by the Crane Creek and watched for manatees and dolphins. It was a close walk into Melbourne downtown where we loved Jaqueline's French Bakery for lunch and coffee. To be aware, this property is close to the train tracks which cross the creek and can be noisy. There is a white noise machine by the bed to help negate this noise. Mark was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. It was a very positive experience and I would not hesitate to stay at The Crane Creek Inn in the future.

Place to go for relaxation and night life.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time. It Is a very well done property with lots of bonuses. Wonderful areas to read and catch the breeze. well stocked kitchen. The owners were very responsive. Excellent location by the water and near downtown. We’ll stay here again for sure.
