Casa da Telhada is an outstanding example of rural architecture in the Melgaço region.

Located in the heart of Minho, known for its natural beauty and historical traditions, this house rebuilt in granite stone represents a fusion between the authenticity of the past and contemporary comfort. It has undergone a restoration process that has preserved its original structure and where you can appreciate some of the artefacts of our ancestors.

The granite stone details, a striking feature of the local architecture, give Casa da Telhada a rustic and charming aesthetic and contribute to the cosy and picturesque atmosphere of the place.On the ground floor, you are welcomed by a fully equipped kitchen with a wood-burning stove that adds a cosy atmosphere to your meals, a bathroom with a shower, and a room with a pool table. Upstairs, you will find two suites with double beds and bathrooms with showers, a separate room where two double beds can be placed, and a living room with a television. On the third and top floor, there is another suite with a double bed and a bathroom with a shower.



Set in a stunning landscape, characteristic of the Minho region. Surrounded by vineyards, green fields and majestic mountains, it offers visitors a unique experience, where the tranquillity of the rural environment is combined with the opportunity to explore nature and local traditions.

The Melgaço region is famous for its Alvarinho wines, and visitors to Casa da Telhada have the opportunity to savour and learn about these wines in an enriching oenological experience that they can ask for or go on a Radical adventure, were this not the most radical destination in Portugal. In addition, its proximity to the Peneda-Gerês National Park provides guests with a range of outdoor activities, such as hiking, cycling and wildlife watching.
