This terraced holiday apartment is perfectly located to explore Lake Lugano and the beautiful towns that line its shore. Located in Melide, the 2-bedroom apartment for 4 is well-connected to the Melide station as well as the ferry terminal and provides a comfy year-round base to enjoy your stays with loved ones. The rental is also ideal for digital nomads in Southern Switzerland as it has a laptop-friendly workplace and offers a Wi-Fi facility.

On the balcony of this third-floor apartment, you can relax with its sunny open-air seating quietly overlooking some of the most suggestive views over the lake. Meanwhile, inside, the holiday apartment is minimally yet tastefully decorated with a large sofa, a dining and a fully-equipped kitchen to ensure an effortless self-catering holiday. The holiday apartment is located in the lakeshore village of Melide and enjoys a well-serviced location from where a wide range of restaurants, Lido di Melide and a supermarket are within an easy 10-20 minutes walking away. The ferry terminal of Bissone is also close by and the transit from Melide – connecting to Lugano, Paradiso and more – is a 20-minute walk from here.

The world-famous attraction Swissminitur, Melide causeway and the beautiful mountaintop botanical garden of Parco San Grato are a convenient 18-minute walk away. For those who want to explore San Salvatore and its scenic hiking routes, the funicular is located a 15-minute drive from the rental. Meanwhile, the museum dedicated to the Nobel Prize-winning author, Herman Hesse, is about a 20-minutes drive from here.

The vibrant city of Lugano with the serene lakeshore Parco Ciani, the iconic Piazza della Riforma with numerous terraces, Trenino Turistico, Lugano casino and a wide range of discos for party lovers is just a 15-minute drive from the holiday apartment. The nearest international airport is Milan Malpensa, approximately a 50-minute drive from this vacation apartment in Bissone. For those coming via train, the Gotthard railway station for Melide is a 15-minutes walk from here.

Furniture in poor condition

Beautiful view on the lake, well located, however the furniture in the appartment is old and in poor condition.

Filthy, moldy place with no fans in 85F

1. fungus and mold in bathroom 2. Broken shower head 3. Water doesn’t drain 4. The WiFi doesn’t work in the bedrooms 5. No microwave like advertised 6. Ite 85F. No fan. No AC. No ventilation 7. No garbage bags- which they said are provided for sorting trash or I would be charged . No Washing detergent for dishwasher or any amenity 8. All the pillow have been washed so many times that there are hard balls in them. 9. The 3 dining chairs are filthy 10, the leather on the sofa is all over the sofa and sticks to everyone When we reached out to the property management they didn’t respond. Only after I complained to Vrbo they reached out. And were stern and rude. They have too many properties and don’t care about taking your money and then giving you ultimatums and not the value or space promised. They offered us an alternative place that was half the size (1 less bedroom and no parking) and half the square footage without any compensation. And when I protested, they closed the case on me. Filthy apartment. We had a 2 year old and we had to sleep with no clothes on as it was more then 85F and there were no fans or air conditioners. We were miserable. Hot and sweating and then only option tk shower was a moldy bathroom where the water didn’t drain. When we complained they could have sent a crew to clean or sent us fans. They don’t care. They didn’t do anything. Just told us that cleaning crew was not available- for 3 days!! I wasted 900 dollars

Schöner Balkon aber in der Wohnung müsste was gemacht werden

Die Lage ist sehr gut und der beschriebene Balkon bietet einen tollen Blick. Die Balkonmöbel sind allerdings eine Katastrophe und Suchvorgänge der Wohnung müsste was gemacht werden.
