I am only giving them a 3 because of the front desk clerk Fred, the manager Sherman, and the gentleman who I believe was named Curtis(he works maintenance I think) otherwise the score would be much lower. I will rate these 3 employees a5 but the hotel a 2. After checking in on Saturday, January 30, everything appeared fine. The room appeared clean maybe a little dated but clean We went out to eat and did a little shopping and returned to settle in for the night. Keep in mind we are staying here for some respite after an ice storm ravaged our community and left us without power for days. Around 1 am, my daughter called from her room to say she thought she had discovered a bed bug on her pillow. I immediately went to see for myself and upon looking indeed it was a bedbug. I took a picture and went to the front desk and told Mr. Fred and he moved my children to a new room. The next day Ms. Sheena talked with us and gave us information to email the home office regarding this situation. She was very helpful and kind. I have yet to hear anything from the home office. This could be a decent hotel with some updates and a thorough cleaning. Kudos to the staff for being so understanding and handling things in the manner that they did.
