Avoid!!!
Was welcomed by a messy bed, broken furniture, stained living room chairs, gum wrappers and crumbs on the table, couch looked like someone had just taken a nap on it and a drunk/homeless man sleeping on the lawn across the street. Dead bug on the ground, beer cans in the garbage and ice cubes all over the freezer. Spent 20-30 minutes in the house to make new lodging arrangements and left. Extremely disappointed.

Sorry again for the mixup with the cleaning ladies and finding the cottage not clean. It definitely makes for a bad start to a trip. . I did provide a full refund. The broken chair by a previous guest is being replaced

Great little house!
It was obvious that this property had undergone a serious restoration project. Though the house was small it flowed very well. The place was very clean, the mattresses were absolutely wonderful! If I had any suggestions, it would be for the owner to clean up patio area and make it more inviting for his guest. It is more comfortable to be able to sit outside in privacy than on the front porch. The owner was very accessible and responded to our every need. Overall I would rate it an A-. Weekend Getaway
This property was a perfect spot for a long weekend! It was quiet and cozy and a quick trip to many of the sites you would want to see. The host was communicative and available if needed. We would stay here again and I highly recommend this property.

Memphis get away
We had a fabulous time exploring the sights, all within a few minutes of this great rental. We had everything we needed, plenty of room for three. We loved the area, so close to a great park. The house was clean, organized, decorated nicely and in good repair. We all had a stay we won't soon forget. Our host was fantastic, answered my questions immediately and was very patient with me. I thought I had booked 7 nights, but no, he was very considerate of my error, gave us time to pack up and tried to help me find another place to stay for the night. We can't wait to stay again in this cute house, to sit out and relax on the porch!

Love the Jefferson Cottage(s)
We've stayed at both cottages, this being our first time in this one. House has everything you need stocked: towels, soap, blankets, pillows, etc. Clean, comfortable, excellent weekend home. We had one issue where we didn't have hot water when we woke up in the morning, so I texted Ben and he replied immediately and then followed up with a call right away - we just needed to flip the breaker and push a button on the hot water heater. We had hot water very quickly after that, I was able to shower comfortably like 15 mins later. We will be back!

So comfortable and very convenient!
This is our third stay at Jefferson Cottage while our daughter attended Rhodes College. The safe and quiet street that’s convenient to everything, the comfortable spaces to spread out and the amenities within the cottage make me wonder why I ever book a hotel when we visit Memphis. This “home away from home” has it all! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great Property in Midtown Memphis
This was a great little house for our good friends to meet up with us for the weekend and enjoy Memphis. The location is great - it is very close to both Beale Street and other attractions like Graceland, Memphis Zoo, Art Museum, U. of Memphis. We felt perfectly safe in this cute neighborhood. The owner sent great directions on how to unlock the lock box. The only "negative" was we wished there were concise check out notes - like strip the beds or not, place all towels here, etc. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Very convenient location less than 10min to just about everything. (15min from airport & Graceland) thanks Ben for supplying the cottage with travel items and laundry supplies. Kitchen is well stocked all though we were enjoying local eats it is Memphis after all. Great price for extra space and convenience over a hotel.

Visit to Rhodes - Comfortable and Clean
Rooms were very clean. Beds were comfortable. Good shower pressure. Ben was responsive to questions via text. It was a bit chilly and it took nearly 24 hours for the heater to get the place warmed up. There are three TVs but seems like only two can be accessing the streaming service at the same time. Had difficulty with the TV remote in the main bedroom. The neighborhood feels sketchy; the doors were well secured. I'm not sure I would feel comfortable walking around. On street parking.

Ben was very helpful and easy get in touch with. He helped us determine whether it was safe to come to town on the first night of our reservation. There was an ice storm in the area. He was gracious in handling us needing to cut our reservation short. The neighborhood was quiet while we were there and the cottage was comfortable for our short stay.

My family stayed here over Christmas and ended up actually being quarantined here because of Covid. Ben was responsive with an issue with the hot water and would look into the the system to ensure it didn’t happen with future guests. Thank Ben for a comfortable stay!

Very comfortable little house in uptown. Clean. Updated. Quiet neighborhood. We felt safe. Easy parking. Close to all of the tourist sites. Grocery store and liquor store about two miles away. The beds are very comfortable. I loved that old, worn recliner, and I wanted to take it home! The air conditioner works very well. Plenty of hot water. Strong wifi signal. The Keurig coffee machine was my best friend each morning, but I would have liked some larger-sized coffee cups in the cabinet. Only two suggestions: 1. The drape over the front glass door that is attached to the wall above the door makes it difficult to open the door. Maybe attach the drape to the door instead of the wall? 2. There were a few gnats constantly flying around, and not sure how they were getting in. They did not bite nor sting, and they did not really bother us besides just floating around the room. Maybe gnats are a Tennessee thing? Overall very pleasant and comfortable stay at 1976 Jefferson. Very pleased. Recommended for a nice, quiet, and comfortable stay in Memphis. Much better than a hotel room.

Weekend Get-Away With Friends
Lovely cottage, clean and well kept. We had a quick question for Ben and he was available and quick with a reply. Nice location, close to good food. It's a good base spot for tourist destinations. The neighborhoods in the area seem to be in the process of updating and development. We enjoyed the stay immensely and would not hesitate to return should the occasion arise.

Good location and clean!
We went to Memphis for a weekend stay. The house was clean and as listed. This is a good location, it seems like an up and coming location. A lot of new development and remodeling is happening around this property. There are places around the house to eat, drink, etc, but it’s about 15 mins from downtown.

Sweet Memphis Cottage
The Memphis Cottage is all it's description stated it to be. We enjoyed our short stay in Memphis on our way back home for the last stop of our 2 week family vacation. The owner was very prompt with communication and gave excellent driving directions due to the difficulties surrounding the I-55 bridge closure. One bit of advice for future renters: do not store items on the landing at the top of the stairs in the back. Instead of storing our 2 empty coolers back in our van or on the front porch, I placed them just outside the back door at the top of the stairs. This was a mistake as they were covered with a large amount of roof debris (seed pods, leaves, dirt and shingle grit) which made quite a mess that had to be cleaned up the morning of our departure prior to our 10 hour drive back home. :-( With the exception of the dirt on the coolers due to my storage error, I have all the best to say about the Memphis cottage. :-) sand)

This was a very nice little house just a little bit off the busy road. The rooms were great size, could fit pack n play in master room and an inflatable bed in the other room with no problems. Beds were comfortable, Roku TVs in every room. It was a nice touch to have a filled up Brita water pitcher in the fridge, filled ice tray (auto ice maker) and goldfish were a hit for the kids. There's a keurig maker, forgot creamer so I didn't utilize it. You park on the street 3 or 4 steps from the front door, which was super handy. The only way to ding it was the internet was spotty at times, but we could always find one of the TVs that would connect. The street didn't seem like the nicest area, but there were a lot of people walking by with their dogs that were all super friendly. I'd definitely stay here again!

Lovely hideaway
The cottage is centrally located, making for minimal travel to all Memphis has to offer. The property owner has anticipated his guests needs and supplied nearly everything you'll need in a well-appointed unit.
