Denna 1880s hem är stor och bekväm. Även om hemmet är rustikt och lite funky, (Över 145 år gammal!) sängar är alla nya och mycket bekväma, och det enda hemma i Mendocino med en extra stor gård och stig direkt till stranden!

Perfekt för ett par eller en familj. Allt är inom gångavstånd, inklusive kaffe, restauranger, glass, två stränder, valskådning, levande teater, butiker och webbplats ser.

För det sant behövs avkoppling Mendocino Beach House är på plats. Bara titta på vågorna från din däck när du dricker vissa lokala vin, ha en picknick lunch, eller ta en promenad ner den särskilda stranden vägen och utforska grottor och leta efter snäckor och hav glas. Bra för 2 veckor eller mer!

Everything worked as expected. The house was clean, the bed was perfect. The little amenities like coffee in the freezer, coffee pods, and tea bags were a very welcome surprise. The house is really conveniently located and we could walk at night to all restaurants easily. The backyard was super amusing with all the decorations and installations - tree fort included. Beach walk was very convenient and led directly to the river/ocean interface.We are looking forward to staying there again in the future.

I have to begin with the truth about this property, which is, the photos and description don't nearly do it justice. The house is warm and inviting with beautiful and well thought out personal touches. We didn't want for anything once we arrived. The location is perfect for strolling downtown and walking to wonderful dining experiences as well as shopping and art galleries. The backyard is unbelievably large and ringed with art and lush plants that hide even more treasures and secluded spaces to take in the beach and listen to the waves roll in. The private path to the beach itself was just enough to give you privacy from the folks strolling the shoreline and paddling out to surf. I almost didn't want to write a glowing review for this property because I wanted to keep this gem of the Mendicino coast all to ourselves. We will absolutely book another trip and only wished that we could have had more time to stay and bask in the beauty and comfort this property has in droves. Thank you so very much for allowing us into your home and giving us such wonderful memories to take home. Dayna and Nathan

My husband, our small dog and I very much enjoyed our stay at the “Cinderella House.” We appreciated the nice mix of old world charm and modern convenience, and most especially the story behind the house. (Yes, we bought a book!) The location was fabulous and it was a pleasure to amble along the gorgeous path down to the beach and also be able to walk to all the shops and restaurants in town.

Pleasant house

My husband, daughter, son-in- law and I enjoyed this house. It was the only VRBO I found in Mendocino that had king-sized beds in 2 of the bedrooms, so although it has a 3rd bedroom which we didn't need I rented it. The kitchen was well equiped although we were not cooking. They did not skimp on the matresses, pillows and bedding. The back yard is interesting. We did have difficulty getting into the lock boxes - host needs to explain them better - and the lock to the door was very difficult which we pointed out to the owner who came by. The path to the beach is a bit of a hazzard, but there is a good path behind the church 2 doors down. We had a wonderful meal at the Italian restaurant - I forget the name - that is just 3 blocks away, but if you are interested be sure to make a reservation. Also enjoyed The Wharf in Fort Bragg, and I also suggest reservations there. We were blessed with sunshine and no rain, but it is windy and thus can be cold in unprotected areas.

Revisit to Childhood Home

First, communication with Gary was great and I am are so happy we were able to stay in the “Cinderella House”. I lived in this house in the late 1950’s and have been wanting to stay here ever since it became available as a rental. I’m thrilled that Gary researched and provided historical information that I didn’t previously know about the house and previous owners. I appreciate that he has kept as much as he could of the original house. It does make it a little quirky, but that is really what makes the house charming and relevant to the charm of Mendocino, as it was just a sleepy fishing town in the 50’s.The beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed and the backyard was amazing! The crab apple tree that I remember is still there and now creates an umbrella for a special area that I would’ve loved to have had as a child (I won’t spoil the surprise by going into detail). And then there’s the treehouse … and all the amazing artwork to enjoy throughout the yard.The items in the yard that have been collected over the years contained a wonderful surprise for our family (see Texaco truck photo of my brother). Who knows what else we may have left behind that now has a wonderful place for all to enjoy. Last, by not least, the view of Big River and the ability to walk down to the beach. Stunning and peaceful. I hope to bring my siblings back next time we rent this house. Thank you, Gary, for sharing your house so I could take a wonderful walk down memory lane.

Fantastic!

My husband ran the Mendocino 50k and we walked to the start/finish from the house, and also out to dinner. The yard is lovely! We have an old grandpa puppy and he also enjoyed his stay.

We had a wonderful time in this charming house with a huge yard full of art and toys and a view and path to the beach. Our grandchildren's favorite spot is a large bush with a secret room inside with table and chairs and pots for making magic potion.

Weekend getaway

Beautiful views, lovely bedrooms, comfortable home. Loved the big yard and beach access. The outdoor Christmas lights were a nice touch. Walking distance to market, restaurants, coffee shop, bookstore, town and coastal trails. We’ll be back!

Wonderful

My sisters and I stayed here for 4 nights celebrating 2 birthdays. The house was perfect- so comfortable and the setting is glorious- the beach is a short walk from the property and is so beautiful. We also enjoyed walking along the bluff and exploring the town. We will be back for sure!!!
