This property was poorly maintained and has some safety concerns that we feel like need to be addressed. On the quality front, the furniture that was in the house when we arrived did not match what was in the VRBO posting and the home was pretty rough. The carpets were dirty there were limited old bath towels, the heater on one side of the house didn’t work, the fire pit advertised in the posting didn’t work, and the grill advertised in the posting was not usable because it was out of propane. At a minimum VRBO should require them to update the photos to show actual furniture. The biggest safety concern was with the oven. It really needs to be replaced. There was foil burned to the bottom of it and parts of the bottom of the oven were deteriorated to the point that you can see the heating element exposed. If anyone cooks anything that drips grease on that spot it will cause a fire. Furthermore, the all the smoke detectors were missing from their brackets so if there were to be a fire in the oven there would not be any warning. Lastly the door next to the kitchen could not open so if someone needed to exit there it looks like a door but does not function. Overall this property really missed expectations and we could ourselves having to pivot on a lot of plans that we made base on our expectations of the property formed by the description in this post. Sadly disappointed.
